Vineet Khanna, the former Nestlé Global Head of Supply Chain, speaks about the importance of resilience in supply chain

Vineet Khanna is former Nestlé Global Head of Supply Chain.

He told his audience: “I prefer the term resilience to risk management, because my experience in life has been that for growth, you need to be solution-oriented and bring solutions to the table. So I don't like too much talk about risk too much.

“The first thing in any resilience strategy should be how do you define resilience?

“In most instances, people define resilience as coming back, or surviving. But if you look at the biological definition of resilience, it’s about adapting to change and evolving and thriving in a new context.”
