Procurement and Supply Chain Live: Aurélien Faucheux

Aurélien Faucheux, Head of Procurement at Aston Martin, explained how the desire for agility & efficiency is driving the procurement transformation

Despite only joining Aston Martin four months ago, Aurélien FaucheuxHead of procurement at the company, took to the Procurement and Supply Chain Live stage with ease.

“The Aston Martin vision is quite simple, to be the most agile and efficient luxury car manufacturer in the world”, said Faucheux.

 

Project Horizon

Aston Martin has recently launched Project Horizon, which Faucheux explained targets each area of the company. 

“If you cannot get the basics right, you cannot do anything.”

Faucheux outlined the project:

 

Vision

An efficient and coordinated Procurement department, able to fully implement and deliver AML’s Business Strategy 

 

Supplier strategy

Establishment of a robust, strategic supply base, that can support AML’s key objectives and deliverables

 

Behaviours

Drive correct practises and performance improvement increasing skills retention and operations efficiency 

 

Process, training, tools

Continued focus on defining best practice and improving established knowledge combined with implementing the right tools to achieve goals.

 

“We must strengthen our brand, operate at a world class level through increased capability, state of the art technology and modern processes”, said Faucheux.
