Verity has become something of a pioneer in AI-powered mobile intelligence, enabling complete operational visibility through its fleets of fully-autonomous drones.

Its commitment to revolutionising the warehousing industry through cutting-edge technology is unwavering, with UPS, DSV, Maersk, On and KeHE among the major players already enjoying the benefits.

Verity recently reached a significant milestone: surpassing 100 client sites worldwide. The opening of an additional KeHE site in Portland, US, builds on the success of numerous existing locations already equipped with Verity’s tech in the firm’s extensive food distribution network.

Raffaello D'Andrea, CEO at Verity

"Verity’s system is proven to deliver value across industries and geographies, from 3PLs to retailers and food and beverage distributors,” explains Raffaello D'Andrea, CEO at Verity.

“While mobile intelligence clearly generates value, making it work reliably – whether at a single site or at scale like Verity – is an immense challenge. Verity remains the only solution to fully unlock the potential of mobile intelligence, consistently driving unmatched results.”

Verity’s remarkable growth

Verity's rapid expansion from a handful of sites to more than 100 in less than four years showcases a remarkable growth trajectory – especially when one considers it initially entered the market during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Across all sites, Verity's solutions have consistently demonstrated remarkable results in:

  • Efficient inventory issue identification: Intelligent scanning features target high-movement and high-issue-prone locations, helping clients avoid an average of 6,200 inventory issues per site in the first year
  • Cost reduction: Operations are streamlined and errors minimised, leading to significant cost savings
  • Operational efficiency: Verity optimises workflows, leading to increased productivity and significant operational gains, delivering an estimated 800,000 hours saved annually across all client sites
  • Environmental impact: By reducing waste and improving efficiency, Verity helps clients achieve their sustainability goals, saving an estimated 653 tons of CO2 emissions – the equivalent of planting 25,000 trees – per site annually.

How DSV benefits from Verity

As one of the world’s leading 3PLs, DSV looks after more than six million square metres of global warehouse space.

Following the success of its very first Verity implementation in Denmark back in 2021, the company has since expanded use of the system in Europe and North America to distribution centres across seven countries.

Verity’s solution ensures DSV has the inventory data it needs to meet demanding service level agreements (SLAs). It reduces inventory discrepancies and minimises costly stockouts and order shipping issues by leveraging features such as moved locations reports to quickly locate errors, as well as empty locations and area scans.

Automated scanning frees warehouse staff from manual inventory tasks and eliminates inventory issues resolution time, allowing them to focus on fulfilling customer orders.

James Matthew Rosal, Senior Operations Manager at DSV

“We have a demanding client where there are certain types of orders, which they require us to deliver within one hour after the order has been dropped at our site,” comments James Matthew Rosal, Senior Operations Manager at DSV.

“Verity and its drones are helping us a lot to make sure inventory is available when we go to pick it.”

KeHE addresses inventory issues

KeHE is recognised as the largest distributor of natural and organic, specialty and fresh products to more than 31,000 stores and e-commerce retailers throughout North America.

It first introduced Verity at its Arizona facility in the summer of 2023 and is now in the process of rolling out the solution across distribution centres throughout the US.

In KeHE’s facilities where perishable goods need to be moved fast, misplaced inventory can result in a loss of goods and profit. Beyond the automation of inventory tasks, the Verity system significantly improves inventory visibility to reduce write-offs of lost goods.

Jesus Munoz, Director of Warehouse Automation at KeHE

“It’s paramount for us to have tight control of our inventory,” adds Jesus Munoz, Director of Warehouse Automation at KeHE.

“Inventory issues directly lead to a myriad of other issues.

“Thanks to Verity, we’ve made significant improvements in inventory accuracy and also enhanced our ability to serve customers better. This highlights KeHE’s commitment to staying at the cutting edge of warehouse technology.”
