Kinaxis Cements Leadership in Automotive Value Chain

Maestro, the AI-powered orchestration platform from Kinaxis, has officially been certified by Catena-X for its demand and capacity management capabilities.
The certification validates Maestro’s compliance with Catena-X requirements for interoperability, data sovereignty and network security, reinforcing the platform's suitability for highly connected, multi-tier supply chain ecosystems.
A recognised standard for automotive data ecosystems
Catena-X is a collaborative and open data ecosystem specifically developed for the automotive sector. Its primary goal is to enable seamless data exchange between all stakeholders in the value chain.
Certification under this framework signals that a platform meets strict technical and operational standards.
For Kinaxis, gaining Catena-X certification means its Maestro solution is now recognised as a trusted component for real-time coordination within the network.
The Catena-X network serves a broad range of automotive supply chain players, all of which rely on integrated data flows to manage ongoing industry shifts. These include the move towards electrification, new regulatory frameworks and broader global supply chain uncertainties.
Within this environment, having a platform that enables instant, secure collaboration across multiple tiers is critical.
Andrew Bell, Chief Product Officer at Kinaxis, comments: "We are pleased to be one of the leading solutions providers to receive Catena-X certification, as it validates our ability to deliver multi-enterprise real-time orchestration at scale – exactly what global automotive leaders depend on Kinaxis for.”
"In an industry navigating electrification, policy volatility and mounting supply chain pressure, Maestro enables end-to-end coordination across every tier of the network. It’s not just about seeing what’s happening; it’s about being ready to act."
Marketplace expansion through Cofinity-X
Maestro’s certification also opens new market access through Cofinity-X, the first operational gateway to the Catena-X environment.
Cofinity-X functions as the commercial arm of the Catena-X network, offering certified services and applications within its marketplace. Maestro’s inclusion in this marketplace enables direct engagement with other Catena-X participants.
Thomas Rösch, CEO of Cofinity-X and a board member of Catena-X, welcomed the development: “We are proud to have Kinaxis, a global leader in end-to-end supply chain orchestration, as a new member in our Catena-X ecosystem.”
By joining the marketplace, Maestro is positioned to become a key tool for organisations looking to optimise their planning processes while staying compliant with Catena-X operational and data standards.
It also underscores the platform’s alignment with the broader aims of the dataspace initiative — namely to promote secure, consistent and scalable collaboration across the automotive value chain.
Responding to complexity with orchestration at scale
The automotive sector remains one of the most challenging supply chain environments to manage. With global distribution models, volatile trade conditions and the move to electric powertrains, vehicle manufacturers are under pressure to adapt their operations in real time.
Maestro supports this by offering simulation capabilities that allow companies to model millions of disruption scenarios annually.
This approach enables organisations to not only understand potential bottlenecks but also to prepare responses before disruptions occur. For automotive manufacturers, this level of preparation is increasingly vital. Maestro’s architecture delivers operational visibility, but crucially, it also supports coordinated responses across suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners.
The platform is already used by a range of major automotive firms including Volvo Cars, Ford, General Motors, Harley Davidson, Subaru and Motherson. Each faces a unique blend of regional and global supply challenges, but all require tools that support real-time orchestration and forward planning.
