Lyric's US$43.5m Series B funding round signals growing confidence in its vision for AI-first supply chain software that can adapt to unique complexities

Supply chain technology firm Lyric has announced the closure of a US$43.5m Series B funding round.

It brings Lyric's total funding to US$67m as it positions itself to lead a fundamental shift in how businesses approach supply chain decision-making.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with continued participation from Primary Venture Partners, Permanent Capital Ventures and NewBuild Venture Capital, alongside new investors VMG Partners and PSP Partners.

The funding signals growing confidence in Lyric's vision for AI-first supply chain software that can adapt to the unique complexities of modern global operations.

Lyric addresses industry pain points

Founded on the principle that no two supply chains are alike, Lyric has built what it describes as a "composable, math-first platform" designed to offer flexibility and intelligence that traditional supply chain tools cannot match.

The company recognises that supply chains are shaped not only by industry requirements but by each organisation's unique strategy, customer expectations and operating model.

"From the beginning, we recognised that no two supply chains are alike," explains Ganesh Ramakrishna, Founder and CEO at Lyric.

"That's why we built Lyric to be composable from the start, allowing teams to configure solutions that align with their specific needs, rather than bending their business to fit rigid software."

It's an approach that has clearly resonated with major global companies, with Lyric now partnering with more than 25 forward-thinking organisations including Coca-Cola, Mondelēz, Owens & Minor, Google and Kuehne+Nagel.

Such partnerships demonstrate the platform's ability to help companies "take meaningful steps toward more intelligent, agile decision-making," adds Ganesh.

The timing of the funding round reflects broader industry trends. Recent advancements in generative and agentic AI, combined with accelerated compute infrastructure, strengthen Lyric's ability to deliver on its vision of solving large-scale problems faster and more intelligently than traditional tools.

Strong investor and customer endorsement

In light of the funding round, Teddie Wardi, Managing Director at Insight Partners, has been appointed to Lyric's board, accentuating investor confidence in the company's approach.

"Lyric's composable, math-first platform finally gives companies the flexibility and intelligence they've been looking for," says Teddie. "We're excited to support the team's global scale-up."

What's more, customers highlight the platform's versatility and technical capabilities.

Natesh Rao, Strategy Director at Mondelēz International, notes: “We originally chose Lyric as our next-generation supply chain design platform, but within six months we were using it across many other decisions. Their algorithmic horsepower is exceptional.”

This customer experience reflects a broader pattern: Lyric's ability to deliver working solutions at a rapid pace when presented with high-priority problems that legacy tools can't handle.

More significantly, customers have exhibited their own ability to build upon these solutions, expanding use cases and scaling adoption while solving new challenges through their own creativity.

Accelerating platform development

The Series B funding will enable Lyric to deepen its platform investment, with plans to accelerate development of its algorithm catalogue and expand agentic AI capabilities. The business is also growing its customer success teams to ensure users can create value from day one.

Beyond product development, Lyric is expanding across multiple areas including engineering, data science, go-to-market and customer success functions, reflecting confidence in sustained growth trajectory.

As supply chains continue to evolve in complexity and strategic importance, Lyric's approach of combining advanced AI capabilities with configurable, user-centric design appears to address a genuine market need. With backing from respected investors and validation from major enterprise customers, the company is, in Ganesh's words, "building something that can truly change how the world's supply chains run".
