Fertitta Entertainment adopts Amazon Business to streamline procurement, reduce disruption and maintain agility across hundreds of hospitality sites

Fertitta Entertainment, the organisation behind hospitality brands like Morton’s Steakhouse and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, is integrating Amazon Business into its procurement processes to centralise sourcing and support a more agile supply chain.

With around 600 locations across the US, Fertitta manages a vast network of restaurants, casinos and venues, including Golden Nugget Casinos and the NBA franchise Houston Rockets.

The group has turned to Amazon’s business-to-business (B2B) platform as a way to simplify buying, manage costs and respond to demand across its growing network.

Streamlining multi-location procurement

Amazon Business, which launched in the US in 2015, now processes more than US$35bn in annualised gross sales. It serves more than eight million business customers, including 97 of the Fortune 100, 66 of the FTSE 100 and 38 of the DAX-40.

The platform combines Amazon’s logistics infrastructure with tools designed for enterprise procurement.

By adopting this system, Fertitta Entertainment shifts to a centralised approach to sourcing, allowing its sites across the country to order supplies while maintaining consistent delivery through Amazon’s logistics network.

This flexibility is especially important in hospitality, where delays in delivery can affect service levels, stock availability and customer experience.

"Whether it’s a steakhouse in Chicago or a casino floor in Vegas, operations don’t pause for backorders," says Brenda Spoonemore, Vice President at Amazon Business.

"With Amazon Business, Fertitta Entertainment can get what it needs, when it needs it."

With high turnover of inventory across locations, the procurement team faces constant pressure to source quickly without overspending.

Amazon Business' integrated tools help Fertitta respond to these pressures with faster delivery, budget control and purchasing visibility.

“Our locations really embraced adding Amazon Business to their purchasing process," says Rick Liem, CFO at Fertitta Entertainment.

"It’s helped us keep up with demand as we grow and respond quickly to urgent needs without losing sight of our budget. We’re able to get what we need quickly, stay organised and make smarter decisions with our spending."

Tools to reduce disruption

Amazon Business offers features aimed at large businesses with decentralised teams, including multi-user accounts, tax-exempt purchasing, approval workflows and consolidated invoicing. These tools help procurement teams maintain visibility over spending while allowing local teams to remain responsive.

The platform’s inventory features, such as grouped deliveries and shipment coordination, reduce delivery volume and increase predictability for stock managers. This is key for businesses like Fertitta Entertainment that rely on uninterrupted operations and consistent stock flow.

Business Prime membership adds further value through fast, free shipping and access to analytics. Procurement teams gain visibility across departments, using tools to set spend limits and monitor activity without micromanaging every transaction.

For firms managing hundreds of sites, consistent procurement processes can be difficult to enforce without a central platform.

With Amazon Business, Fertitta consolidates purchasing into one ecosystem, helping align teams while supporting flexible sourcing when local sites need it.

Amazon Business also offers Guided Buying, a feature that lets procurement leads set preferred suppliers and product categories. This supports purchasing decisions that align with internal policies, including those tied to sustainability or vendor compliance.

Applying data and AI to procurement strategy

Amazon Business builds on the wider technology stack of its parent company. Through the use of AI and analytics tools, the platform supports more efficient decision-making across finance and procurement.

For organisations like Fertitta Entertainment, access to real-time data through integrated dashboards makes it easier to track spend by category, forecast needs and maintain budget accuracy. This removes the need for disconnected systems or manual tracking.

Rather than piecing together multiple supplier relationships or software tools, the procurement team uses Amazon Business to consolidate suppliers, simplify internal processes and scale its purchasing model.

As the platform evolves, its ability to offer transparency, automation and analytics in one place positions it as a scalable solution for large enterprises balancing national operations with local purchasing needs.

Fertitta Entertainment’s model depends on staying responsive while keeping costs in check. With Amazon Business integrated into its procurement framework, the company creates a system that can scale with demand while reducing the risk of disruption.
