XPO has, over the years, become a household name in the provision of innovative and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions – both in its native US and across the globe.

That includes in Europe, where the supply chain giant is serving thousands of customers every single day with full-truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) services, pallet distribution, last-mile delivery, global freight forwarding and warehousing.

Naturally, XPO has reached the stage where it can rely on numerous big-name partners across the region, including energy giants like TotalEnergies.

Already, the partnership is active in France and Iberia, and was recently extended to the UK after TotalEnergies selected XPO following a competitive tendering process.

Enhancing the customer delivery experience

Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, XPO is one of the largest providers of asset-based, LTL transportation in North America, with proprietary technology that moves goods efficiently through its network.

Together with its business in Europe, XPO and its 38,000 employees serve approximately 50,000 customers across 563 locations and 38,000 employees.

On British soil, XPO operates the nation’s largest in-house ADR network and specialises in the distribution of chemical, lubricant, and construction products.

The latest long-term contract between XPO and TotalEnergies will see the industry giants work together to improve operational efficiencies and enhance the customer delivery experience.

XPO will provide end-to-end services, including inbound transportation, shared user warehousing and value-added services, as well as outbound distribution of packaged lubricants from finished goods production to TotalEnergies’ UK customer base.

Transport services include inbound, full-truckload freight (FTL) from France, Belgium and the UK, customs brokerage and shared user network distribution.

TotalEnergies is set to benefit from a multi-client warehousing solution in one of XPO’s UK locations, while plans are afoot to provide the energy powerhouse with the ability to utilise its XPO Connect system, further enhancing the customer experience.

Dan Myers, Managing Director for the UK and Ireland at XPO Logistics

“TotalEnergies is a leader in safety, quality and innovation in the packed lubricants sector,” adds Dan Myers, Managing Director for the UK and Ireland at XPO Logistics

“Working in partnership, we’ll bring the same standards and approach to the provision of logistics services.”
