Walmart's food safety solution using IBM Food Trust built on the IBM Blockchain Platform

By Jack Grimshaw

Walmart treats all of its food products as "guilty until proven innocent." The company will completely remove products from its shelves until it can guarantee the security and safety of them.

In partnership with IBM Blockchain and the company's depth of experience and expertise in blockchain technology, Walmart is making it easier to pinpoint issues along the complex food supply chain, removing risks and potential disruptions with ease.

Blockchain technology enables a collaborative effort, providing data to shareholders along the chain, creating a safer, more sustainable, affordable and efficient food supply chain for Walmart, with significantly improved transparency, traceability and visibility.
