Job title: President & CEO, FedEx Supply Chain
FedEx Supply Chain orchestrates global logistics solutions to improve the performance, profitability and flexibility of customers’ operations. Temple leads its delivery of supply chain solutions to customers worldwide, and is responsible for the performance and strategic direction of the company. 

Temple says of himself: “I look to foster an engaging culture through collaboration and the development of high-performance leadership teams.”

Job title: President, UPS Supply Chain Solutions
UPS Supply Chain Solutions is a division of UPS, the global logistics and transportation firm, and has operations in 120 countries and a workforce of 400,000 employees, and it provides end-to-end supply chain solutions. 

Seward is responsible for UPS global logistics and distribution, global freight forwarding and the truckload freight brokerage business. He has additional responsibility for UPS Global Healthcare sales, and leads a team of 20,000 people.

“Our supply chain expertise, end-to-end services and value-added solutions are designed to scale with growing businesses and help them grow even faster,” he says.

Job title: CEO, DHL Supply Chain
DHL Supply Chain is a division of DHL, the global logistics and transportation company that has operations in 50 countries, and a workforce of more than 150,000 employees. It provides logistics solutions to clients worldwide. Services include supply chain optimisation, inventory management, and transportation management. 

“We take care of our clients’ logistical demands, first by determining particular needs, then developing, implementing, and overseeing the entire solution,” de Bok has said of the company’s offerings.

Top 10 logistics leaders: Mario Harik

Job title: CEO, XPO
XPO is known for its innovative and technology driven approach to logistics and supply chain management. It has invested heavily in automation, robotics, and digital technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the customer experience. 

Harik leads one of the largest less-than-truckload providers in North America, with 294 integrated terminals and approximately 22,000 employees serving 25,000 customers. He oversees its strategy, including investments in customer service excellence, network capacity and proprietary technology.

Job title: CEO & Chairman, Kuehne + Nagel
Kuehne + Nagel is a global logistics and transportation company that has operations in more than 100 countries and a workforce of over 83,000. Its range of logistics and supply chain management services include air and sea freight, road transport, contract logistics, and supply chain optimisation. 

Paul says the company’s services are “an integrated ecosystem built on 20 years’ experience at maximising value in our customers’ supply chains and applying these lessons to our service offerings”, adding: “Our offerings are enabled by core values and technologies which power our ability to support our customers.”

Job title: CEO, CEVA Logistics
Global logistics company CEVA offers end-to-end supply chain solutions, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, and freight management services. 

Friedberg says the company’s logistics services are “built on technology and innovation to deliver optimised and reliable solutions”. He adds: “Whatever the complexity and the geographical scope, we will design, execute and monitor your supply chain strategy to help you keep our customers’ promises to their customers.”

Top 10 logistics leaders: Jochen Thewes

Job title: CEO, DB Schenker 
DB Schenker is a division of German rail operator Deutsche Bahn that focuses on logistics. The company was acquired by Deutsche Bahn as Schenker-Stinnes in 2002. It comprises divisions for air, land, sea freight, and Contract Logistics. 

Thewes lauds his company’s logistics experts, by saying: “They bring years of global logistics experience to create customised and competitive logistics services for our customers’ cross-border supply chains.”

Top 10 logistics leaders: Beat Simon

Job title: Group Chief Commercial Officer, Logistics, DP World

DP World is an Emirati multinational logistics company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It specialises in cargo logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services and free trade zones.

Swiss-born polyglot Simon says of himself: “I view myself as a proactive, open, innovative personality who works efficiently and focuses on solutions. I define clear goals with management partners and drive implementation of those goals.”

Top 10 logistics leaders: Vincent Clerc

Job title: CEO, A.P. Moller - Maersk

Maersk is a Danish integrated container logistics company and the world's largest container shipping company, with a fleet of 700 vessels, including owned and chartered vessels. It operates from 300 ports worldwide.

Clerc was appointed CEO in January 2023, and says that "every day I have the privilege to work with 100,000 talented colleagues across the world to deliver a more connected, agile and sustainable future for global logistics."

He adds: "At Maersk, our strategic vision is to become the global integrator, offering truly integrated logistics solutions that connect, protect and simplify our customers’ supply chains."

Job title: Group CEO, DSV

Multinational logistics company DSV operates in 80 countries. A global freight forwarder, it provides and manages supply chain solutions for thousands of customers, from family-run businesses to global corporations. It focuses on keeping supply chains flowing through operational excellence and sustainable growth.
