Connected worker platform provider - Zaptic - supports manufacturers and supply chains amidst COVID-19 by providing a safe workplace package.

The immediate challenge facing the supply chain and manufacturing industry

As lockdown’s across the globe begin to ease, those within the supply chain and manufacturing industry will need to establish a COVID-19 secure operation. “As a matter of urgency, site leaders need to rapidly implement new safety, hygiene, distancing and remote working measures to create a COVID-19 secure workplace,” states Zaptic.

The COVID-19 Safe Workplace Package

Developed on the company’s connected worker platform, the COVID-19 Safe Workplace Package, can provide those within the industry, best practice operating procedures and reporting systems for immediate deployment.

In collaboration with manufacturers since the start of the crisis the package contains five pre-configured workflows and dashboards that are easily customisable via Zaptic’s no code workflow authoring toolkit.

The package provided by Zaptic “is a limited time offer to help organisations restart operations as safely and efficiently as possible following lockdown, which will be available until 31st August 2020, and is free of charge for existing customers of the Zaptic platform.”

  1. Daily site entry compliance survey and dashboard

This feature provides daily health questionnaires for permanent staff, visitors and contractors, as well as follow up workflows and a site entry compliance dashboard.

  1. COVID-19 safe workplace audit

Adopting the Gemba style, this feature provides a  checklist audit for managers, which are based on governmental guidance and manufacturing best practice with scorecard, issue logs and action tracking capabilities.

  1. Cleaning guidance and tracking

Schedule COVID-19 cleaning tasks to increase the frequency and thoroughness of sanitation and hygiene protocols on site. Best practice cleaning and disposal guidance for known or suspected cases of COVID-19. Cleaning adherence dashboard and action tracking.

  1. Virtual hygiene and sanitation training

Via mobile video learning modules organisations can keep up to date with the latest WHO and governmental guidance and training, with completion reports for each team. This feature replaces the need for face to face training and shadowing, with virtual on the job learning.

  1. COVID-19 adjusted near miss and hazard observation

To manage COVID-19 risk control points, mobile near miss and hazard observation can be reported within this feature. In addition the feature includes a near miss and hazard control analytics dashboard with leading indicators for a COVID-19 safe workplace.

The ongoing challenge - adapting to the new normal

As we enter into a ‘new normal’ for the working environment, manufacturers and supply chain leaders should look to digitally connect their workforce to adapt to the new normal of shop floor distancing, remote work and data driven continuous improvement.

In addition to its safe workplace support package, Zaptic can provide organisations with the capability to adapt to the new normal via its connected worker platform, utilising its no code tool kit to accelerate digital transformation within daily operations.
