Dun & Bradstreet teams with watsonx on procurement solution

Data and analytics multinational Dun & Bradstreet and IBM have announced a strategic collaboration that will combine the former’s data cloud and the latter’s AI offering.

The aim of the initiative is to help clients drive generative AI (GenAI) use in their native workflows to help deliver growth and efficiency across a variety of business functions.

Dun & Bradstreet intends to IBM’s watsonx to help organisations expand their use of GenAI across workflows and solutions.

Watsonx is IBM’s next-generation AI and data platform, and it draws upon Dun & Bradstreet’s Data Cloud, containing more than half a billion private and public companies.

Dun & Bradstreet’s Ask Procurement is one of the new solutions that the companies intend to bring to market. Ask Procurement will help procurement professionals unlock new data and insights, to help increase savings and mitigate the potential for risk.

Slated for delivery in the first half of next year, Ask Procurement will be able to be integrated with Dun & Bradstreet solutions or existing ERPs or procurement solutions.

Ginny Gomez, President, North America, Dun & Bradstreet, says: “Dun & Bradstreet and IBM are ideally suited to help companies responsibly navigate the rapidly evolving generative AI space, because we know their business environments and processes well.

“With hundreds of thousands of organisations globally relying on us every day, we believe there is no better company than Dun & Bradstreet to lead the industry and our clients into the future.”

Marelli adopts WiPro’s digital twin to speed vehicle delivery

Mobility-tech supplier to the automotive sector, Marelli, is using Wipro’s Cloud car solution to develop the first cabin digital-twin product.

The move is in response to the need of the automotive industry to build deep cloud software to help maintain cost efficiencies, reduce deployment time and enable frequent updates throughout a vehicle’s lifetime.

Marelli is leveraging tech and IT consulting firm Wipro’s extensive AI/ML ecosystem, to deliver a smart, automated cloud-based solution that accelerates new features, cuts costs, reduces project completion time, and streamlines software updates to help OEMs quickly address customer demands.

Yves-Antoine Brun, Head of Wipro Engineering Edge Europe, Wipro, said: “We are thrilled to help the automotive industry redefine next generation driving experiences and enable them to deliver a better car every day.”

Roberto Secchi, Marelli’s Head of Software Platform & DevOps, said: “Wipro’s broad ‘software-defined vehicles’ talent pool has been essential in helping us create this latest ground-breaking innovation.”
