Roche selects Tecsys’ cloud-based Elite platform to automate inventory across 1,000 labs in more than 50 countries, boosting efficiency and visibility

Organisations whose operations involved working in laboratories must streamline inventory management to help prevent stockouts, reduce waste and avoid costly overstocking.

Not only will this help improve workflow and reduce manual error, but it will also ensure critical supplies are always available.

With this in mind, pharmaceutical giant Roche has chosen to integrate Tecsys’ Elite platform across its main laboratory sites in more than 50 countries. The solution will be integrated with Roche’s SAP backend and will enable real-time visibility, replenishment and automated tracking by streamlining inventory management for laboratory reagents and consumables.

The partnership targets 1,000 installations over the next five years and spotlights Tecsys’ ability to empower organisations to thrive in the changing healthcare industry.

Peter Brereton, President and CEO at Tecsys

Peter Brereton, President and CEO at Tecsys, explains: "We are proud to support Roche in providing cutting-edge inventory management solutions to hospitals and laboratories around the world.

"Their trust in our solution is a testament to the transformative impact of modern supply chain technology."

Strategic supply chain modernisation

Roche called upon Tecsys’ Elite system to manage the high-volume, complex inventory demands of its international network of core laboratories.

As well as enhancing operational complexity at scale to craft a unified and standardised approach to inventory management, the platform will also offer greater automation to reduce human error and manual processes.

Tecsys’ Elite platform will allow central teams to monitor stock levels, usage and replenishment needs in real-time by providing a unified view of inventory. By integrating with Roche’s SAP backend, it will avoid data silos or duplication by ensuring inventory data and operational workflows remain synchronised across enterprise systems.

Elite is also hosted on AWS, allowing Roche to meet regulatory standards and support laboratory operations across the globe.

Tecsys empowers Roche to ensure product availability, enhance supply chain agility and scale its laboratory network with confidence by tackling both the technical and and operational sides of inventory management.
