Supply chain tech leader o9 Solutions secured leadership positions in a trio of 2024 IDC MarketScape reports focused on supply chain planning

Whether aligning supply and demand or optimising commercial initiatives, o9's AI-powered digital solutions have the potential to make any planning process both faster and smarter.

There can be little surprise, then, that o9 has secured leadership positions in numerous 2024 IDC MarketScape reports for supply chain planning.

The organisation has been named a Leader in a trio of key assessments:

  • Worldwide Supply Chain Planning for Process Industries 2024 Vendor Assessment
  • Worldwide Supply Chain Planning for Distribution Industries 2024 Vendor Assessment
  • Worldwide Supply Chain Planning Overall 2024 Vendor Assessment

A comprehensive, flexible platform

The IDC MarketScape vendor assessment model offers a comprehensive view of the competitive positioning of technology and service providers within specific markets.

The market intelligence giant's analysis employs a robust scoring system that integrates both qualitative and quantitative factors, culminating in a graphical representation of each vendor’s standing in the market.

IDC's MarketScape reports covering supply chain planning highlight o9’s strength in providing an end-to-end connected platform, which is built on a unified data model. The platform is praised for its composability, allowing organisations to extend and customise solutions to meet their needs, while its ability to enable connected, automated scenario modelling further sets it apart.

o9’s cloud-based deployment leverages hyperscalers and advanced big-data infrastructure to handle complex models, while its demand-sensing and analytics tools enhance planning precision.

The reports commend the flexibility offered by o9’s solutions, stating: “With its composable and integrated approach, o9 provides clients with flexibility in the level of partnership with o9 Solutions.

"Clients can take a building block approach or pursue full end-to-end integrated solutions."

This level of adaptability makes o9 a unique partner for businesses seeking tailored solutions or prioritising quick time-to-value approaches.

A year of growth and innovation

The recognition from IDC comes at a time of significant expansion for o9 Solutions.

In 2024, the company deepened relationships with various existing clients, entered new industries and extended its global reach. Central to this success was the continued development of its Digital Brain platform, an advanced tool for integrated business planning.

Digital Brain platform is transforming how businesses plan and make decisions, offering scalability and sustainability while aligning with long-term strategic goals.

What's more, o9 enhanced its platform by introducing generative AI-powered large language model (LLM)-based composite agents, designed to revolutionise complex, cross-functional business processes, such as forecasting and post-analysis. Pilot programmes involving these tools are already ongoing with clients.

Engagement with industry leaders

Elsewhere, o9 has been fostering greater industry engagement through its aim10x events.

In its Q3 2024 financial report, the company revealed that more than 500 participants, including clients, partners and experts, had attended its aim10x on tour events throughout the year.

These gatherings serve as a platform for global enterprises to share insights on digital transformation and value creation.

Looking ahead, o9 expects to host more than 15,000 attendees at its upcoming aim10x digital 2025 event in March, which is set to showcase the impact of supply chain and commercial transformations powered by o9’s solutions.
