The collaboration between Lobster and project44 is aimed at reshaping how logistics operations are managed, shared and understood

Lobster, a software company focused on connecting people and data, has confirmed a strategic partnership with supply chain visibility platform project44.

The collaboration builds on joint efforts in the automotive and consumer goods sectors and is aimed at reshaping how logistics operations are managed, shared and understood.

By aligning their strengths, the two firms are creating a joint offering that delivers broader access to supply chain data and improves operational visibility.

Lobster is integrating project44’s global supply data into its platform, known as Data World, providing a full view of supply chain data and helping organisations reduce silos and improve team coordination.

Combining global visibility with plug-and-play connectivity

At the centre of the partnership is the combination of project44’s supply chain data network and Lobster’s integration ecosystem.

Project44 contributes a wide range of global freight and shipment data, while Lobster’s platform offers tools for order management, inbound logistics and spare parts logistics, supporting quicker project rollouts and improved return on investment.

Lobster’s digital platform is built for ease of connection, with plug-and-play access that allows freight forwarders, carriers and logistics service providers to onboard with minimal disruption. This approach helps organisations act faster and adapt their supply chain operations more efficiently.

The collaboration also establishes the basis for new AI applications. Such tools are intended to detect problems before they affect supply chain performance – proactive insight that supports better routing choices and improved speed across the entire supply chain.

Niko Hossain, Managing Director at Lobster

"Establishing a robust data foundation is at the heart of this partnership," comments Niko Hossain, Managing Director at Lobster.

"Our platform’s seamless connectivity, combined with project44’s extensive real-time insights, enables our joint customers to enhance on-time delivery, optimise inventory and drive significant operational efficiencies."

Enhancing delivery performance and inventory control

For companies involved in logistics, delivery reliability and inventory accuracy remain essential.

Lobster and project44's joint solution aims to address both by integrating real-time tracking with strong data integration.

Value comes not just from visibility, but also from the ability to act on that visibility quickly. With the combined systems, supply chain managers can track movements, respond to changes and improve overall coordination from one end of the chain to the other.

By pairing live insights with flexible digital tools, organisations gain more control over their logistics flow. The improved transparency also enables better planning, supports lean inventory strategies and can help reduce delays across transport networks.

Dominic Erdtmann, Regional Vice President DACH at project44

“Each of our unique capabilities is highly complementary," adds Dominic Erdtmann, Regional Vice President DACH at project44.

"This partnership with Lobster strengthens our shared commitment to delivering maximum customer value through end-to-end transparency and automation.”

Showcasing collaboration at Data Hero Summit

To mark the alliance, project44 is set to sponsor the Lobster Data Hero Summit in Munich on 14 May.

The event is set to present real-world use cases and demonstrate the joint platform's role in supporting business agility.

With a focus on practical integration and applied solutions, the summit will give participants insights into how data and technology work together in modern supply chains, while serving as a forum to discuss how to handle the increasing complexity of global logistics operations.
