At PSC LIVE: Sustainability, Edenir will utilise her wealth of experience to deliver a fascinating keynote presentation exploring Royal Mail's Scope 3 journey.

We spoke to Edenir ahead of Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: Sustainability to discover what inspired her to get involved with our event, her hopes for her keynote presentation and her predictions for the future of procurement and supply chain.

What inspired you to get involved in Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: Sustainability?

I attended Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE London in September and was really impressed with its quality, the high calibre of the speakers and how much insight I gained from attending it.

When approached about sharing the Royal Mail Group (RMG) Scope 3 journey, we agreed it was the right audience and at the right moment for us.

Give us an overview of what your keynote will focus on

We will be sharing how RMG is progressing with its Scope 3 agenda; how we developed a practical strategy for measurement and reduction; how we are building a robust foundation that will lead us to achieve our 2030 goals and beyond; and some early success stories, the challenges and what our priorities are.

What do you hope to achieve by participating in PSC LIVE: Sustainability?

By sharing our journey, I'm also hoping to share best practices, at the same time as opening ourselves to scrutiny by like-minded and experienced professionals in the industry.

It will be good to gain insights from other organisations on how they are addressing their sustainability agenda and gauge some potential initiatives and areas for collaboration.

Let’s win together on supply chain decarbonisation.

PSC LIVE: Sustainability - key themes
  • Supply chain strategy
  • Supply chain sustainability
  • Supply chain diversity
  • Risk & resilience
  • Logistics & distribution
  • Supply chain technology
  • AI in supply chain
  • Supply chain transformation

What emerging trends do you believe will shape procurement and supply chain over the next decade?

AI is an absolute yes, as if and when used well, it could reduce admin work and improve efficiencies and to some extent revolutionise the S2P process; coupled with data analytics, for trend analysis, forecasting and effective spend management.

Sustainability is also having a significant impact on procurement. As companies move towards addressing emissions in the supply chain, procurement and supply chain teams are now very much the ones leading this process, which will require upskilling, processes changes, deeper understanding of business requirements and a very strong change management capability.
