How Kinaxis is Delivering Industry-Leading ESG Performance

In 2024, the company offset 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions, ensured 25% of management roles were occupied by women and donated more than US$250,000 to communities in which it operates. 

These achievements and more are detailed in Kinaxis’ sustainability report for 2024, which outlines the firm’s various ESG commitments and strategies.

Making a meaningful impact

Throughout 2024, Kinaxis managed to offset more than 10,000 tonnes of CO2-equivalent (CO2e) emissions by carefully selecting projects that reflect its values, ensuring they deliver measurable, lasting and socially-responsible benefits.

They include:

Transforming waste into renewables – SusGlobal Belleville composting project, Canada

Organic waste left in landfills generates significant methane emissions. This initiative in Canada diverts food scraps and sewage biosolids, converting them into high-quality compost. The result is lower methane emissions and healthier, more sustainable soil for agriculture.

Bringing clean energy to farms – dairy biogas programme, India 

Thousands of smallholder dairy farmers across India now use biodigesters that transform manure into renewable biogas. This reduces dependence on wood and coal, cuts household emissions and improves air quality. The programme also supports key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as clean energy and climate action.

Cutting emissions in agriculture – nitrous oxide reduction in fertiliser production, US

Nitrous oxide is 265 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. This project uses advanced technology to capture and neutralize N2O emissions from fertiliser production, making a critical industry more sustainable.

Building a more sustainable supply chain

Ultimately, Kinaxis’ approach when it comes to sustainability is comprehensive, with offsetting carbon emissions just a single piece of the puzzle.

For example, key global offices are powered using 100% renewable energy and the firm collaborates with eco-friendly cloud providers like Google and Microsoft.

But, of course, its biggest impact is helping customers to decarbonise their supply chains.
