Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE returned this week to the QEII Centre in London with Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: Sustainability.
Co-located with Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero, our event welcomed numerous influential leaders representing the likes of Amazon Freight, NHS Supply Chain and Sky, to name a few.
To mark International Women's Day 2025, Supply Chain Digital is saluting the inspiring women who took to the stage and inspired audiences with their determination to drive meaningful change.
Tanya Jain, Head of UK Enterprise Business Development at Amazon Freight
Tanya is a seasoned expert with extensive global experience in supply chain, logistics and manufacturing. For the past five years, she has successfully led Amazon Freight, spearheading innovative transportation solutions, addressing complex challenges and advocating for sustainability. Passionate about advancing women in commercial leadership, she is dedicated to mentoring and inspiring young women to pursue careers in this evolving industry.
In her keynote, Tanya shared insights on how Amazon Freight is transforming transportation into a greener, more efficient ecosystem. From low-carbon initiatives to digital optimisation, she explored the strategies shaping the future of sustainable freight and how businesses can adapt to enhance both efficiency and environmental impact.
Megan Youngs, Scope 3 Reporting Manager at NatWest
With more than six years of experience in sustainability, Megan serves as Scope 3 Reporting Manager at NatWest, specialising in supply chain emissions reporting and decarbonisation strategies. She focuses on tracking supply chain emissions and supplier sustainability metrics, equipping colleagues with the data needed for informed decision-making. Collaborating closely with procurement and operations teams, she helps them navigate Scope 3 emissions and integrate sustainability principles into their strategies.
Megan participated in the Scope 3 Strategy Forum alongside fellow industry leaders, discussing the complexities of managing Scope 3 emissions on a global scale. The panel explored challenges and opportunities in measuring and reducing emissions across extensive supply chains, highlighting best practices, regulatory developments and the importance of collaboration in achieving net-zero goals.
Edenir Nunes Chrysostali, SRM Director & Scope 3 Lead at Royal Mail Group
With more than 25 years of experience in supply chain and procurement under her belt, Edenir's specialises in logistics, transportation, vendor management and procurement. Driven by a passion for sustainability, she applies her extensive expertise to address the challenges of sustainable procurement, with a strong focus on Scope 3 emissions.
In her keynote, Edenir shared practical strategies for accurately measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions. She provided valuable insights on supplier engagement, data-driven approaches and fostering collaboration across the supply chain to achieve meaningful sustainability outcomes.
Maureen O'Shea, Sustainability & Supply Chain Partner at Baringa
With two decades of experience in supply chain leadership at local, regional, and global levels, Maureen brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She previously established a sustainable supply chain team at a Big Four consulting firm, before being drawn to Baringa by its deep focus on climate change and people-centric approach.
Maureen has led supplier relationship management for a US$100m spend portfolio, developing core competencies and processes, negotiating multi-year, multi-region supply contracts and driving improvements across global supply chains. She champions business-led, technology-enabled transformations, recognising that people are the key to achieving meaningful and lasting change.
Caroline Grey, Co-Founder and CRO at Treefera
Caroline is passionate about customer experience and the transformative role of nature-based asset data, technolog and AI in enhancing supply chain resilience, risk management and decarbonisation. A recognised leader in customer growth, she brings more than 20 years of experience in driving revenue expansion and building strategic partnerships. With leadership roles spanning operations, solutions and sales, she has helped complex global organisations navigate change and accelerate growth.
Before co-founding Treefera, Caroline served as Chief Customer Officer at UiPath, where she led strategic customer experience initiatives and played a pivotal role in the company’s successful US$40bn public listing in 2021.
Both Maureen and Caroline participated in the Sustainable Supply Chains Panel, discussing strategies and best practices for embedding environmental responsibility into every aspect of the supply chain to drive a greener future.
Mihaela Ambrozie, Head of Operations at Vodafone Procurement and Connectivity
Mihaela is an accomplished technology executive with extensive international experience and a strong track record in the IT and telecommunications sectors. Since 2022, she has served as Head of Operations at Vodafone Procurement and Connectivity, where she is responsible for end-to-end strategy and execution. Her focus spans digital capabilities, data analytics, central connectivity infrastructure and customer experience.
Mihaela participated in the Gen AI Forum, where she explored how AI is revolutionising the management of Scope 3 emissions. She discussed innovative, AI-driven solutions that improve data accuracy, optimise supply chain processes and support sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.
Natalia Pickett, Head of Procurement and Ecosystem GTM & Strategy - EMEA at KeolisAmey Docklands
Natalia is a seasoned leader in procurement, technology and governance, with more than two decades of experience in highly-regulated industries. With a Master’s degree in Computer Science, she has led strategic initiatives across various sectors, driving innovation, sustainability and efficiency in procurement.
In her fireside session, Natalia explored the innovative sustainable solutions being applied to KeolisAmey Docklands' procurement processes.
Susie Tomson, Global Head of Insight & Impact at Think Beyond
Susie is a leading global advocate for sustainability in sport, driving transformative change across the industry. She has played a key role in developing and implementing pioneering sustainability strategies and programmes, as well as creating carbon emission inventories and reduction plans for sports clubs, national governing bodies, federations and leagues.
At Think Beyond, Susie has led sustainability initiatives for organisations including SailGP, Liverpool FC, World Athletics, European Athletics, World Lacrosse and St Andrews Links Trust.
In a fireside chat, Susie joined Rishi Jain, Director of Impact at Liverpool FC, to discuss the club’s journey from traditional supply chain practices to becoming a leader in sustainability. Together, they explored innovative strategies for embedding sustainability into operations, measuring impact and fostering community engagement.
Heidi Barnard, Head of Sustainability at NHS Supply Chain
Heidi is a dedicated sustainability professional who helps organisations understand their environmental impact, drive strategic initiatives and empower teams to deliver on the NHS Net Zero and Social Value agenda. With 19 years of experience spanning manufacturing, construction and healthcare, she specialises in developing comprehensive sustainability strategies and action plans while excelling in stakeholder collaboration.
Heidi took the stage twice—first for her keynote on navigating a greener supply chain, where she explored the NHS's journey toward sustainability in procurement, logistics, and operations. She highlighted innovative strategies and challenges in reducing environmental impact while maintaining high-quality, efficient healthcare delivery.
She also joined Pat Durai, Group Head of Procurement – Energy at Sky, for a panel discussion on carbon reduction.
Pat is a seasoned procurement leader with more than 15 years of global experience across energy, technology, property and corporate services. At Sky, she has played a key role in securing strategic deals, including recent power purchase agreements (PPAs) for Sky UK. With expertise in managing complex portfolios and fostering supplier innovation, Pat brings valuable insights into sustainable procurement.
Her panel tackled the critical topic of reducing Scope 3 emissions, sharing insight on the practical approaches, emerging technologies and collaborative strategies essential for achieving significant reductions and advancing sustainability goals.
A celebration of women
Later this month, Supply Chain Digital will publish its Top 100 Women in Supply Chain list, spotlighting female leaders who are elevating the industry and spearheading investment, innovation, strategic initiatives and support for underrepresented groups.
