St Guys NHS Trust procurement head on health supply chains
In April 2022, Procurement Magazine, Supply Chain Digital and Bizclik Media Group returned to London's Tobacco Dock to host our second Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE.
Dubbed ‘The Risk & Resilience Conference’ the two-day hybrid event featured keynotes, roundtables, Q&As, and networking opportunities with inspirational and knowledgeable leaders in the procurement and supply chain space.
David Lawson is Director of Procurement at Guy's and St. Thomas' National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust, in London. He is responsible for the Trust’s procurement shared services, and joined in 2001.
Lawson delivered a compelling keynote entitled 'From army trucks to a boat: Guy & St Thomas's supply chain journey', examining the complex and challenging - and occasionally fraught - nature of the Trust's supply chain.
Founded in 1993, the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to its communities providing high-quality personal health care. It is a pioneer in health research, providing high-quality teaching and education.
Lawson was part of a one of the largest deployments of automated inventory management systems outside of North America, and is a past winner of the European Supply Chain Excellence Award for Supply Chain Innovation.
