Achilles Information has become something of a leader in supply chain risk and performance management.

Acquiring the assets of Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS), a prominent supplier risk management provider, forms part of its broader strategy to expand its global presence and strengthen its supply chain solutions – and follows the earlier acquisition of the Iberian supply chain risk firm, GoSupply.

Expanding capabilities in supply chain risk management

The acquisition of GRMS reinforces Achilles’ position as a global leader in supply chain risk management.

By integrating GRMS’ expertise in areas including automated document management, digital insurance verification and real-time risk monitoring, Achilles enhances its ability to support organisations in managing supply chain complexities. These include compliance, performance, financial stability, ESG factors, health and safety, geopolitical risks, cybersecurity and decarbonisation.

This strengthened platform enables Achilles to provide more sophisticated insights and tools to mitigate risks, build resilient supply chains, and foster stronger supplier relationships.

Paul Stanley, CEO at Achilles, highlights the strategic importance of this acquisition: “GRMS has built an outstanding reputation for delivering excellence in supplier risk assessment. This acquisition enhances our ability to provide unparalleled value to our customers by combining our global reach with GRMS’ deep understanding of supplier risk management in the US market.”

    Key benefits of the acquisition

The acquisition delivers several advantages for Achilles and its customers.

    They include:

    • Broader North American presence: The acquisition expands Achilles’ reach and enhances service delivery to an increasingly diverse customer base in the region.
    • Enhanced service offerings: GRMS’ streamlined supplier onboarding, automated document handling and continuous supply chain monitoring are integrated with Achilles’ extensive suite of solutions.
    • Increased client value: A combined database of more than 200,000 suppliers and 675 buying organisations worldwide creates unparalleled opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Gerard Smith, Co-Founder and President of GRMS

"Joining Achilles represents an incredible opportunity to expand the reach of our innovative supplier risk solutions," adds Gerard Smith, Co-Founder and President of GRMS.

"Together, we will elevate the standards for supply chain risk management while continuing to deliver the high-quality services our clients have come to rely on.”

    Seamless transition for clients

The transition ensures uninterrupted service for GRMS’ existing customers while unlocking new opportunities for integrated, advanced risk management solutions.

With this acquisition, Achilles continues to position itself at the forefront of supply chain innovation, creating value for organisations navigating increasingly complex global supply chains.

Joe Fabiani, Co-Founder and COO at GRMS

“This partnership with Achilles marks an exciting new chapter for GRMS and our customers," concludes Joe Fabiani, Co-Founder and COO at GRMS. "By joining forces, we’re able to offer GRMS customers access to a broader suite of tools and resources that enhance supplier management and drive sustainable supply chain practices.

"Together with Achilles, we’re committed to delivering even greater value, innovation, and support to help our customers navigate the complexities of today’s global supply chains.”
