Global logistics provider Damco has opened a new commercial office in the Dutch city of Eindhoven. Crucially, it is located in the province of Noord-Brabant, home to one of Europe’s prominent high-tech regions and more than 1,500 businesses. Eindhoven is also an important hub for Damco's existing customer base, with a focus on the Lifestyle, Technology and Industrial markets.

Centrally positioned between the port cities of Rotterdam and Antwerp and the German Ruhr area, Damco's new premises in what has become known as the Brainport region will also provide excellent access to several key potential customers, shippers and suppliers. The Eindhoven base is also very close to the recently expanded barge terminal in Tilburg.

Putting the opening in perspective, Jean-Baptiste Elslander, Damco's Chief Commercial Officer for the Benelux, said: “Our ambition is to significantly grow our global footprint in the years to come. The opening of the office in Eindhoven is part of that ambition. We continuously want to review and improve the way we are set up in order to remain agile and responsive, delivering robust products and services quickly.”

This new commercial office will offer supply chain management and freight forwarding services. It will be staffed by four logistics experts, led by Jeffrey van Vianen who brings extensive knowledge in airfreight, ocean freight and supply chain management solutions.

Contact details of Damco’s new Eindhoven office, which is located right across from the passenger terminal, can be found on the company website.

Damco, one of the world’s leading third party logistics providers, specialises in delivering customised freight forwarding and supply chain solutions. The company has more than 300 offices in over 100 countries and employs over 11,000 people. In 2014, Damco had a net turnover of $3.2 billion, managed 2.9 million TEU of ocean freight and supply chain management volumes, and air-freighted 190 thousand tonnes. Damco is part of the Maersk Group.
