DHL signs new contract with Mothercare
DHL Supply Chain has been awarded a contract extension with Mothercare, the UK’s specialist retailer of parenting and children's products, to handle national distribution to its network of over 300 UK stores and international franchises until 2020.
Building on the two companies’ existing 25-year relationship, DHL will manage the national operation at its main site in Crick, Northamptonshire, handling both Mothercare and Early Learning Centre brands.
The new contract will stimulate greater efficiency for the UK operation, with a strong focus on cost and collaborative initiatives, while supporting Mothercare’s agenda to drive growth and reach, with a streamlined distribution model for international markets.

Accenture Acquires SCM Software Firm Blue Horseshoe
Accenture has announced its acquisition of Blue Horseshoe, a US-based supply chain management software provider and consultancy firm.
Upon completion, Blue Horseshoe’s 349 professionals will join Accenture’s Supply Chain & Operations group, expanding the professional services group’s capabilities to create more interconnected and resilient supply chains for clients.
