The City of Boston in Washington has signed with Chevin Fleet’s US operation to provide its FleetWave fleet management software, supporting strategic fleet management initiatives and helping deliver significant ongoing cost savings.

Having previously used an inflexible financial software system to manage the fleet, the municipal body wants to more effectively capture and store complete fleet-related data centrally while supporting remote access for is departmental customers.

FleetWave will allow the City of Olympia’s fleet management team greater control over its operations by automating workshop repair and maintenance scheduling, providing enhanced integration with its fuelling systems and streamlining monthly billing processes.

Ron Katz, SVP North American Sales, said: “FleetWave’s will support the City of Olympia’s complex and very specific equipment management requirements, while allowing the fleet management team to improve preventive maintenance and compliance oversight.”

The City of Olympia maintains a diverse municipal fleet including 450 pieces of equipment, fire apparatus and support vehicles.

Chevin is a leading, global provider of dedicated fleet management software solutions. Our software is used in more than 120 countries worldwide to manage more than 800,000 vehicles with offices in the US, UK, Australia and Europe. We provide software solutions to the public sector, utility, construction and corporate sectors as well as governments and international aid operations of every size and type
