Quote: "OK, Raj, here's what you're going to do. You're going to go to that field and pick some cotton"

"No, no. I can't do it. I can't do it. I’ll hurt my back. Let me tell you what we'll do. YOU pick the cotton, and I'll get the t-shirts made. And TOGETHER we'll make the wholesale."

Synopsis: Russell Peters is a comedian of Indian ancestory known mostly for his comedy album
Outsourced. In Part One of the YouTube clip listed above, Peters gives his take on growing up in an Indian household, African languages and arranged marriages.

But his greatest bit came on South African slavery. Peters says that Indian people were used as slaves once upon a time, and gives his take on why Indian people make poor slaves (see above quote).

Commentary: Peters is really, really funny, and his style of Americanized Indian comedy makes for great laughs.

The Lesson: Stereotypes are a comedy cornerstone.
