Zip: How 50 New AI Agents will Streamline Procurement

Zip adds automation muscle to procurement by introducing 50 AI agents, each designed to manage specific, high-effort procurement tasks.
The move is part of a broader push to replace repetitive manual work with intelligent software that executes independently – with the aim of cutting costs, increasing accuracy and reducing turnaround time across the purchasing lifecycle.
This new collection of AI tools brings what Zip calls agentic procurement orchestration to the enterprise. The concept refers to autonomous software agents that carry out complex, often tedious functions usually handled by procurement professionals.
Instead of offering general-purpose chatbots, Zip focuses on building agents that target individual supply chain pain points, with each agent designed to do a single task effectively and independently.
"Today Zip is cutting through the agentic AI hype with AI agents that actually work," says Rujul Zaparde, Co-Founder and CEO of Zip.
"Not vague chatbots. Not generic assistants. Real, specialised AI agents that do one job and do it perfectly. Zip's approach to agentic AI is going to make global companies more secure, save them millions of hours of laborious work, and generate billions in hard-dollar savings."
Reducing manual work across procurement
Procurement remains one of the most resource-intensive business functions, second only to payroll in terms of company spend.
Despite this, many organisations have not implemented artificial intelligence effectively, leaving procurement teams reliant on manual processes that are vulnerable to error and inefficiency.
Zip’s 50 AI agents aim to address that issue head-on.
By automating tasks such as contract reviews, tariff assessments and compliance checks, these agents could help businesses eliminate millions of hours of manual labour.
For procurement professionals, this means more time to focus on strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and operational resilience.
Early adopters say the platform delivers measurable results.
Idan Cohen, Technology Procurement at Wiz, says: "We live in a world where procurement leaders need to utilise AI for our advantage and Zip's approach to agentic AI does exactly that.
"We'll save so much time on the technical work and day-to-day tasks that we need to do as part of the procurement process, and be enabled to really focus on what we're supposed to do – being a true partner to the business and to our vendors."
Wiz joins a list of organisations already using Zip’s AI agents, including OpenAI, Canva and Webflow. These companies work directly with Zip through its AI Lab to identify common procurement bottlenecks and build tailored AI solutions in response.
Kathryn Devlin, Head of Procure-to-Pay Operations, Travel and Expense at OpenAI, adds: "We've worked closely with the Zip team to power their agentic platform and it's been really exciting to see how quickly they've turned real-world procurement pain points into focused AI task agents with our APIs.
"As part of our overall collaboration, we're excited to be among the first to integrate their AI agents to help manage spending and drive efficiency across the organisation."
AI agents tailored to supply chain needs
Zip’s new suite spans a wide array of procurement functions.
Patrick Reymann, Research Director, Procurement and Enterprise Applications at IDC, adds: "Zip created an entirely new category of procurement applications, so it is appropriate to see them pressing forward and launching a suite of AI Agents, plus an AI Agent builder, that will drive efficiency, compliance and, ultimately, savings.
"Shaped by input from many of their hundreds of clients, Zip is providing a pathway to the future of procurement. We can't wait to see Zip Agents in action."
The Agent Builder Platform allows teams to build, train and deploy new agents without needing to code. Other agents serve focused purposes across the procurement workflow:
-
The Trade Policy Analyser tracks global tariff shifts and calculates supplier cost impacts
-
The Market Intelligence Agent finds new suppliers and benchmarks pricing
-
The Proposal Automation Agent creates customised RFPs (requests for proposals)
-
The Digital Risk Assessor identifies DORA compliance gaps and legal risks
-
The Privacy Protection Agent flags GDPR-related vulnerabilities in contracts
-
The Sustainability Evaluator measures supplier alignment with ESG (environmental, social and governance) benchmarks
Each agent feeds directly into procurement workflows, enabling teams to automate processes that once required substantial time and expertise.
