Digital Procurement: Moving at the Speed of Change
Speaking on Day 1 of Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE New York 2023, Heidi Banks, Senior Director Global Procurement (Coupa S2P), Jabil discussed the speed of change in digital procurement.
Companies today are investing in technology to gain strategic advantage to promote agility and flexibility. However, technology is changing at an unprecedented pace making it increasingly challenging to integrate new systems. Alongside this, procurement is faced with re-positioning strategies and policies from pressures to stay compliant and informed.
During her keynote, Banks explains how Coupa and Digital Adoption Technology enable agile processes to improve profitability and deliver savings. The transformation has enabled Procurement to overcome employee burnout and information overload.
“Ultimately, digital transformation is only a true transformation if you bring the users with you and layering this over Procure to Pay (P2P) technology or other technologies for that matter, allow your teams to be more strategic in what they're doing and less tactical in the day to day operation of trying to figure out why we're not getting the right amount of cost reductions or rebates, or why users are struggling in the system,” says Banks.
