Celebrating International Supply Chain Professionals Day
Every single day, a global team consisting of tens of millions of people demonstrate unwavering dedication to ensuring goods and services are produced, processed, transported and delivered in seamless fashion.
International Supply Chain Professionals Day, taking place on 7 June, is an opportunity to recognise the great and the good of the supply chain industry, celebrate their achievements and inspire the next generation of talent.
In fact, it’s an occasion in the calendar that aligns perfectly with the ethos and objectives of Supply Chain Digital, a platform which has been connecting leaders and decision-makers representing the world’s biggest businesses for the best part of two decades.
By taking a comprehensive approach to supply chain content creation in the form of news stories, in-depth company reports, industry-leading events and much more, we continuously strive to provide timely and valuable insights into best practices – fostering innovation and collaboration within the supply chain community.
Look no further than our recent collaboration with SAP, which saw Mike Wade, EMEA Leader for the tech giant’s Digital Supply Chain business, explain how the company is keeping up with the rapid pace of digital transformation in supply chain and procurement.
Elsewhere, in our June edition, Ceylan Ünsal detailed the organisation’s efforts to build a stronger global supply chain – ensuring improved business outcomes.
These are just a couple examples of our ongoing commitment to shining a light on the exceptional companies and individuals who make the world go round.
Top 100s celebrate supply chain heroes
Supply Chain Digital’s Top 100 series is just one of the other ways we celebrate the many outstanding professionals who don’t always get the recognition they deserve.
Our recent Top 100 Women supplement, for example, served as a perfect opportunity to honour the women in supply chain who are paving the way for future generations and leading the charge when it comes to investment and innovation.
Topping this year’s list was Jacqui Rock, Chief Commercial Officer at NHS England, who has dedicated the last 20 years of her career to procurement and supply chain within the private and public sector.
Readers should also keep their eyes peeled for our next Top 100 Companies list, due for release in July.
