Supply chains around the world are rethinking their resilience strategy and looking to bring about strong performances.

While the leading strategy has focused on technological implication, there is a real case for diversifying leadership voices.

The supply chain industry is predominantly led by men, but real value can be unlocked by welcoming diverse perspectives from women leaders.

Through strong mentorship and collaboration, tackling misconceptions and developing new skills, women are demonstrating the link between diversity and business performance.

The Women in Supply Chain webinar will take place place from 4pm BST, on May 13.

Celebrating diverse voices

The Women in Supply Chain webinar, in association with Amazon Business, will take place as a focused discussion on advancing women in supply chain leadership. In recent years, supply chain strategy has largely focused on technology, but it remains spearheaded by the people themselves. These leaders are channelling innovation and driving advancement, with more women entering the scene.

The panel will focus on how the industry is developing into a more diverse and rich sector, celebrating new types of leadership and performance as the industry moves into the future.

Though women are working steadfastly across the industry, industry research demonstrates a significant drop-off at the higher levels, resulting in a leadership team dominated by men.

This panel will therefore explore:

  • Barriers impacting progression
  • The importance of self-advocacy
  • Critical capabilities for future leaders
  • How to successfully ensure mentorship and community throughout the industry
  • How diversity of thought can strengthen business resilience and performance
