Inside La Poste and Temu's French Logistics Partnership

La Poste and Temu have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at empowering local French sellers and strengthening logistics collaboration.
Temu anticipates local sellers and local fulfilment to make up 80% of its European sales in the near future.
By signing the MOU, the companies will increase the probability of industry growth and the simplification of delivery.
How the MOU affects operations
La Poste is a state-owned logistics and transportation company, with four business units: Services-Mail-Parcels, Retail Customers and Digital Services, Geopost and La Banque Postale.
Every year, its vast human and digital network delivers no fewer than 2.6 billion parcels and 5.6 billion letters via 40,500 service points, including 17,000 contact points – such as post offices and retail pick-up points – and more than 23,500 access points, such as business centres and pick-up lockers.
The MOU between La Poste's logistics arm Colissimo and e-commerce giant Temu is designed to make logistics easier for both companies, as well as satisfying French consumers.
Temu entered France in 2023, before opening its marketplace to local sellers in France and across Europe in 2024. With a focus on affordability, it has operations in more than 90 markets globally, connecting consumers directly with millions of manufacturers and brands.
"By combining Temu's marketplace with La Poste's trusted network, we can make it easier for local sellers to expand their reach in France and beyond," says a Temu spokesperson.
Greater efficiency
As part of the MOU, Colissimo is set to apply innovation, logistics expertise, industrial infrastructure and technical solutions to Temu's operations, making the marketplace more reliable, efficient and streamlined.
It is also working hard to cut carbon emissions, which it will be applying to scale with Temu. Strategies include the use of electric vehicles, eco-designed packaging and urban delivery hubs, aligning with Temu's social responsibility goals.
The agreement results in the introduction of new solutions and initiatives including:
- Reliable delivery: The MOU will ensure consumers and sellers can be confident using La Poste Colissimo, as it will provide flexible options. It will have a range of home delivery, pickup points, lockers and post officers that people can choose for to best suit their needs
- International fulfilment solutions: These allow Temu sellers to have a broader range of shoppers, creating a global reach through Colissimo's international network
- Warehousing and flow management: Using Colissimo's logistics platforms, there will be a streamlined and efficient workflow, reducing risk of disruption
"As France's leading postal and logistics provider, we are thrilled to partner with Temu to deliver innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions for sellers and consumers," adds Sanae Murschel, Vice President of International Sales at Colissimo, La Poste Group.
"This MOU empowers us to strengthen our collaboration with TEMU. By combining our delivery and logistics capabilities with TEMU's innovative digital solutions, we aim to provide more efficient, compliant and convenient services to both sellers and consumers across the markets we serve."
Simplifying logistics
Colissimo and Temu are also set to offer French sellers an end-to-end shipping solution with the launch of Local-to-Local Domestic Delivery Service.
Colissimo will utilise its distribution network to create a range of diversified delivery options, including same-day delivery in Paris, next-day delivery and delivery to retailer.
This looks set to power international growth for French sellers, enabling them to reach consumers in different markets. Small and medium-sized businesses especially will benefit from the simplification and transparency.
