Süleyman Nezih Kocaman is the Global Supply Chain Networks & Manufacturing Excellence Sr. Director at pladis Global.

In his role, he helps shape the global manufacturing and supply chain strategy across a network of production sites and supply chain operations spanning multiple regions. His main focus is on ensuring that the company's manufacturing networks are resilient, efficient and capable of supporting long-term growth while continuously improving performance, productivity and service to its consumers.

Throughout his career, he has worked across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, customer service and transformation roles, and he is passionate about connecting strategy with operational execution.

What are you most looking forward to about being at Supply Chain LIVE: The London Summit?

What excites me most is the opportunity to learn from and engage with other supply chain leaders who are facing many of the same challenges and opportunities that we are seeing across the industry. Supply chains today operate in an environment of unprecedented complexity, whether that's geopolitical uncertainty, changing consumer expectations, sustainability requirements, or the rapid development of digital technologies and AI.

Events like this create a valuable space where each of us can move beyond theory and discuss what is actually working in practice. I am particularly looking forward to exchanging experiences, hearing different perspectives and discussing how organisations are building more agile, resilient and digitally enabled supply chains for the future.

What will you be discussing at the event?

I'll be sharing my perspective on the future of supply chain management and how leaders can navigate an increasingly volatile environment. We'll discuss how digital technologies, AI and operational excellence are helping organisations build more agile and resilient supply chains, while also improving service, sustainability and overall business performance.

For me, the key challenge is no longer just managing disruption – it's creating supply chains that can continuously adapt and thrive in a changing world.

Why are discussions about supply chain management so important in today’s market?

Supply chains have become one of the most strategic functions within any organisation. Over the last few years, we've seen how disruptions can quickly impact customers, businesses and entire industries. At the same time, supply chains are being asked to deliver more than ever before—greater resilience, lower costs, improved sustainability, faster response times and stronger customer service.

Because of this, supply chain management is no longer just about moving products from point A to point B. It is about making smarter decisions, balancing competing priorities, and creating competitive advantage. Discussions like these are important because they help organisations learn from one another, challenge conventional thinking, and identify new ways to improve performance.
