Exploring Procurement's Vital Role as a Strategic Partner

Procurement has undoubtedly moved from cost control to strategic value.
Today, the discipline secures supply, steers inflation and currency risk, and protects margins through effective sourcing. By understanding supplier ecosystems it brings ideas to the business, advances sustainability and accelerates launches.
Strong governance across partners lowers operational, cyber and ESG exposure while keeping enterprise compliant; state-of-the-art platforms surface spend, contracts and trends that shape planning.
Working across functions, procurement aligns specifications with total cost and lifecycle impact. In downturns it preserves cash and continuity; in growth it scales capacity responsibly.
That blend of resilience, insight and influence underpins competitiveness and long-term value.
At Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE London 2025, join Joselina Peralta, Founder and CEO at Stractix, for a keynote presentation examining procurement's growing reputation as a strategic partner.

Moving with your ecosystem
Joselina's expertise lies in harnessing data analytics, breakthrough innovation and strategic ecosystem partnerships to create agile, scalable operations that drive competitive advantage.
Earlier this year at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE Chicago, she delivered a fascinating keynote entitled The Partnership Advantage: Why CPO Should Stand for Chief Partnership Officer.
"When you think about legacy procurement, it was actually built to standardise cost, to actually make sure that you minimise risk," explained Joselina.
"It was a function of finance. It was actually not necessarily designed to build trust.
"The world has changed dramatically since the pandemic to now: volatility with tariffs; instability with climate; we have geopolitical issues everywhere. It's a landmine. So, if you put all of that in the right focus, at the end of the day, nobody can actually do it alone.
"So, the next currency in the future is not tech, it's not even geographical advantage â it's actually partnership.
"It doesn't matter if you have the right advantage geographically or technologically. Without having the right people to actually co-invest in your business, you cannot move unless your ecosystem moves with you and for you."
The partnership problem
At PSC LIVE London, join Joselina for a keynote presentation on procurement's crucial role in supply chain partnerships.
The session, Itâs Not a Tech Problem - Itâs a Partnership Problem. And Procurement Can Fix It, will examine how procurement can truly become a strategic partner to the enterprise.
"Technology alone wonât transform your supply chain," adds Joselina.
"The real shift happens when procurement moves from transaction manager to strategic partner, building the trust, intelligence and ecosystems that turn disruption into competitive advantage."
Head to the Supply Chain Stage at 12.15pm on Day 1 (23 September) of the event to enjoy Joselina's presentation.
