P&G: 11 Years Among Gartner’s Supply Chain Masters

Procter & Gamble’s Supply 3.0 approach has cemented its place as a Gartner global supply chain leader for the 11th year in the Masters list

Each year, Gartner names the companies delivering the most consistent, long-term supply chain performance in its Supply Chain Top 25.

Above even that list is the elite Masters category, recognising those who have repeatedly landed among the five highest scorers over at least seven of the past 10 years. In 2025, Amazon, Apple, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Unilever once again take that top honour.

P&G’s place on this list marks the 11th time the company has earned Masters status.

Speaking on LinkedIn, Luc Reynaert, Chief Product Supply Officer at P&G, said: “Procter & Gamble has earned a place on Gartner's Supply Chain Masters list for the 11th year. This kind of consistency reflects our mindset for delivering growth and innovation through our Supply 3.0 strategy.”

Gartner’s Masters category explained

The Masters category sits apart from Gartner’s annual Top 25 rankings. While the Top 25 changes each year based on performance, the Masters reflects long-term excellence.

To qualify, a company must score in the top five overall in at least seven out of 10 years, with performance measured using a composite of peer and expert opinions, financial indicators like revenue and cash conversion, as well as ESG criteria and demonstrated innovation.

In the 2025 edition, Gartner places Schneider Electric in the number one spot for the third year running, while NVIDIA climbs to second.

The Masters - Amazon, Apple, P&G and Unilever - are ranked in their own right and not directly in the Top 25 table. These four continue to set the pace for supply chain leadership.

What makes P&G a supply chain Master

Gartner highlights several key factors in P&G’s enduring strength. Its supply chain maturity comes down to sustained innovation, digital enablement and a corporate culture designed around data-led decision-making.

The company’s approach is guided by its Supply Chain 3.0 strategy, which Reynaert says is built on scale, responsiveness and system-wide integration.

"Every day, more than 65,000 people across the Product Supply team help bring Supply 3.0 to life," Luc says. "Driving progress and managing complexity with discipline and energy."

Automated planning systems eliminate manual touchpoints. Integrated networks improve how products flow to shelves. Real-time data helps P&G anticipate demand and react quickly with its retail partners.

According to Gartner: "P&G maintains high supply chain maturity with its ongoing innovation, ecosystem collaborations, strong digital enablement, and a culture designed to support analytics, decision making and organisational alignment."

The assessment adds: "These strategies are encapsulated by its Supply Chain 3.0 integrated strategy, which shapes how retail execution, productivity, value and constructive disruption are all enabled by an empowered, agile and accountable organisation."

Embracing AI, automation and collaboration

Beyond the systems and structure, P&G continues to push forward with its use of AI.

The company embraced AI early and now leads with what Gartner refers to as “agentic AI” and “autonomous operations." These approaches let its supply chain operate with real-time insights and minimal manual intervention, allowing the company to react fast to global changes and maintaining product availability across regions.

Luc says the result is a system that "responds quickly, scales globally, and ensures our quality products are always available to consumers whenever and wherever they shop."

Gartner’s view is that P&G’s foundations in automation are now enabling it to evolve its model even further.

The emphasis isn’t just on internal efficiencies, its also on collaboration across the company’s broader ecosystem, including retail and logistics partners. Sustainability and productivity goals are also closely tied in.

Ultimately, P&G’s focus on digital tools, rapid execution and global availability is what keeps it in the Masters category year after year.
