A strategic partnership

Kallikor is a technology company with a platform dedicated to simulation-led operations as a means to empower businesses.

It allows teams to test ideas safely without risking company flow, as well as unlock high-impact improvements faster.

In enabling companies to trial-run solutions, businesses can find ways to reduce costs, make better decisions and adapt their supply chains to real time business needs.

Morrisons, a chain with 500 supermarkets and 1,700 Morrisons Daily Stores, must be able to adapt new strategies without risk of halting business.

It serves 10 million customers a week, so if any issues were to arise as a result of new solutions trials, they could be catastrophic for the company's operations.

Through partnering with Kallikor, Morrisons is able to trial its ambitious operational optimisation plans without halting its supply chains.

Ross Eggleton, Group Director for Logistics, Supply Chain & Technology at Morrisons, comments: “Partnering with Kallikor will help us make better decisions faster."

AI and technology

With AI-powered insights, Kallikor's Adaption platform simulates operational scenarios which allows businesses to adopt new technologies.

Through these technologies, businesses can rehearse their supply chain transformation, so they can be reassured they are implementing successful changes which will optimise their operations.

Ross continues: "By using AI to bring the real and synthetic worlds together, we can design and evaluate changes across our entire supply chain.

AI platforms like Kallikor can help with everything from warehouse operations to global distribution.

"That means we can move quickly, solve the right problems, and ensure that every supply chain decision supports the bigger picture, delivering greater value and availability for customers while improving our efficiency and resilience.”

Through using Kallikor's Adaption platform, Morrisons is positioning itself at the forefront of supply chain innovation, as it will be seeing tried and tested operational excellence.

The company will be able to run a series of simulations in order to decide which method provides the desired results with the least amount of wasted resources.

Total operational overhaul can be expensive and relies on a lot of manpower, especially when done manually. To put a significant amount of resources into a change, whilst being uncertain as to whether there'll be positive results, is a big risk.

Platforms like Kallikor allow companies to pull apart their current operations and re-mold them to unlimited shapes.

As a result, they can examine a range of different solutions and make informed decisions regarding the best option, without the high cost or mass resources.

Kallikor provides a safe place to explore changing environments, strategic challenges and potential risks, demonstrating how each decision can affect a business' supply chain.

The platform enables confident and well-informed decision making at every level of a business, from warehouse operations to global distribution.

A Morrisons overhaul

Through the Adaption platform, Morrisons is creating a 'digital twin' of its entire supply chain. The model reflects the end-to-end operations of the company, allowing for total visibility.

The model is fully interactive and accurate to the scale of the supermarket chain, reflecting the complexity and pace of the company.

From warehouse operations to network-wide flows, the Morrisons teams are rejuvenating their systems with unmatched speed and precision.

Jonathan Barrett, Kallikor CEO, says: “We're witnessing a fundamental shift in supply chain strategy.

"Organisations that can redesign their networks dynamically, test multiple scenarios, and make evidence-backed decisions at speed will define tomorrow's competitive landscape.

"This partnership positions Morrisons to turn market volatility into a competitive advantage through faster delivery, optimised cost structures, and complete alignment between operational execution and strategic vision.”

Kallikor provides a space where automated strategy becomes a supply chain reality, providing efficient and resilient results.

The partnership will help Morrisons adapt to market shifts, continuously meet optimal operations targets and make better, faster decisions for itself and its customers.
