There are many parts of a supply chain that are often overlooked, but critical to the smooth movement of goods from one place to another.

Inefficiencies in one spot can create delays across the entire operation, resulting in greater risks, unhappy customers and high expenses.

To combat this, Inspectorio was founded in 2016, with the aim of streamlining goods inspections and developing more efficient supply chains.

Navigating complex markets

Inspectorio was founded by Carlos Moncayo, Fernando Moncayo, Luis Moncayo and David Klein, after they were experiencing inefficiencies amid manual purchase order quality processes. They decided to develop a digital solution to streamline inspections, following having to operate with delayed reports, slow communication with international suppliers, defective products and third-party inspection costs.

This solution developed into Inspectorio – a means to create more efficient and collaborative processes around the world. It has since grown into a supply chain management platform which helps manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and brands around the world as they manage their operations. It has a focus on responsible sourcing, high quality, production management, strong supplier relationship management and thorough traceability.

In 2022, it secured US$50m in Series B funding, led by Insight Partners. The funding allowed the company to scale its predictive AI algorithms, meaning it could help more retailers across quality, compliance and risk management.

Brands have begun to prioritise supply chain quality, compliance, traceability and sustainability, particularly as market volatility has shown no signs of slowing down in recent years. In 2025, the company managed a total of four billion products, powering US$340bn in total revenue across its customer base.

Throughout 2025, it has helped brands respond to tariffs, regulatory complexity and less consumer spending. Its clients have included brands and retailers in luxury goods, apparel, hardlines and grocery, including big-names like Renfro Brands, Target, Urban Outfitters, DICK'S Sporting Goods and Mango.

“Inspectorio works with a wide network of global technology and service partners to provide market-leading solutions for our customers, and our record growth reflects the strong value of the Inspectorio platform,” said Chirag Patel, CEO at Inspectorio.

Increasing visibility

In January, Inspectorio launched Supply Chain Network Intelligence (SCNI). It is a strategic sourcing and supply chain business network which aims to drive agility across sourcing, visibility across multi-tier partnerships and decision intelligence.

As supply chains face greater complexity than ever, alongside increasing demand to do more or be more overt with their compliance, the business environment is one of uncertainty and turbulence. To combat this, SCNI uses AI and high-quality data to develop solutions. The high-quality primary supply chain data is generated within Inspectorio solutions and uses AI agents to ensure strong results are generated for supply chain leaders.

Through this, businesses can gain more holistic supply chain visibility and greater cohesion throughout their tiers. This helps reduce risk and increase compliance – making brands more reputable and appealing to consumers who are actively thinking about their sustainable purchasing habits.
