How HIVED's Sustainable AI Delivery Raised $42M Series B

London-based delivery startup HIVED has raised US$42m in a Series B funding round, led by NordicNinja – the investor behind logistics names like Bolt and Einride.
Founded in 2021 by Murvah Iqbal and Mathias Krieger, HIVED sets out to fix ecommerce parcel delivery using its fully electric fleet and proprietary tech platform HIVEDmind.
The company says its end-to-end system rethinks delivery entirely, placing AI and customer experience at the heart of operations. With more than 6.5 million parcels already delivered and a 99% on-time record, HIVED is now preparing to expand its model nationwide.
Built for ecommerce, not retrofitted
While most logistics firms have added ecommerce features to old systems, HIVED is designed from scratch for digital retail. Its entire network is electric and its core technology – HIVEDmind – connects all moving parts: warehouse teams, drivers, parcels and customers.
Rather than rely on fixed postcodes, HIVED uses dynamic delivery clusters, updated in real time according to parcel volumes. This enables smarter routing and full visibility for shoppers and brands alike. Through one platform, retailers can monitor the whole parcel journey via dashboards that include geo-coded delivery images, alerts and fraud detection tools.
HIVEDmind also supports real-time sortation, EV route planning and behavioural routing – meaning it learns from driver patterns and real-world delays like gated flats or poor parking access. As a result, it helps HIVED forecast demand accurately, prevent delivery errors and improve parking and timing at specific addresses.
Co-Founder and CEO Murvah Iqbal puts it simply: "Parcel delivery should feel seamless, not stressful, but most of the industry is still running on systems that were never designed for ecommerce.
"At HIVED, we’ve taken a fresh approach – rethinking everything from first principles, putting technology and experience at the centre, and proving there’s a better way to do this at scale."
Scaling with support and strong performance
NordicNinja, the lead investor in this round, is a Japan-backed venture capital firm with deep engineering knowledge.
It was launched in 2019 and has a focus on sustainability and digital transformation. The fund’s partners include former engineers, operators and founders, with access to over 120 blue-chip Japanese firms.
Tomosaku Sohara, Managing Partner at NordicNinja, comments: "HIVED is doing what no one else in logistics has managed to do – pair a truly outstanding consumer experience with deep operational control.
"They haven’t just improved delivery, they’ve reimagined it from the ground up, with technology as the foundation, not an afterthought."
Other participants in the round include Wex Venture Capital, Marunouchi Innovation Partners, Yamato Holdings, Elemental Impact, Rocketship VC, Planet A and Future Back Ventures by Bain and Co. The fresh capital will support HIVED’s growth across the UK and allow the business to grow its engineering and data science teams.
With a sharp focus on consumer trust, HIVED has already become the highest-rated delivery company in the UK. It works with high street names like John Lewis, Zara, Uniqlo and Nespresso.
Anna Lundstrom, CEO of Nespresso UK & Ireland, notes the importance of that first doorstep moment: "Today’s customers want fast, convenient, personalised experiences, with sustainability at their core.
"For many, receiving a parcel from Nespresso is their very first physical interaction with the brand and HIVED’s clear, dynamic live tracking and seamless delivery build a sense of trust and reliability."
From the depot to the doorstep
Since launching, HIVED has delivered more than 6.5 million parcels across Greater London. Its claims rate, for lost or damaged items, is more than 10 times better than the industry average. Customer satisfaction scores sit above 90%, far ahead of the typical 32% across other major carriers.
By reducing “Where Is My Order” enquiries by 90% and giving retailers more insight and control, HIVED is becoming not just a delivery option but a strategic advantage.
The startup’s all-electric network is unique worldwide, offering a cleaner and smarter model for parcel delivery built for where ecommerce is going – not where it’s been.
