Steering the success

As well as celebrating the successful organisations in the industry, it is important to acknowledge the individuals driving success. These are the people behind the operations, those who are ensuring efficiency and making the decisions which result in resilient and sustainable supply chains.

Our judging panel is excited to welcome award entries from the individuals who are demonstrating the leadership qualities that are required to navigate supply chain functions. It is imperative to have passionate logistics professionals who can lead from the front.

It is the dedication and the hard work of some of the most talented employees that will earn candidates a spot on our shortlist. We want to celebrate the actions of the people who have made a notable positive impact on their organisation’s supply chain success.

A hero’s welcome

The unsung heroes of the sector are more than deserving of praise. Those who have shown strategic and operational excellence will be among the attendees sitting down to enjoy an exclusive black-tie dinner on 8 September 2026 at the iconic JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

Highlighting the people responsible for industry-wide initiatives, who champion collaboration, innovation and inclusion across global supply chains, will also work to inspire the next generation of talent.

Those nominated will be recognised for their unflinching adaptability to navigate sudden disruptions, proactive communication to spot bottlenecks early and deep analytical grit to balance cost, capacity and the end customer's needs simultaneously.

What the judges look for in a hero

The judges assessing entries to this award will be using the following criteria:

  • How has the nominee demonstrated strategic and operational excellence?
  • What leadership qualities have contributed to measurable success?
  • How has the nominee fostered innovation and collaboration across teams?
  • What tangible results highlight their impact on the business?

If you or a team member fit the brief, we want to hear from you.

The importance of the hero award

You may already know that your colleague displays exceptional commitment, leadership and problem-solving skills every day, but the rest of our industry would love to hear it too.

Shining a light at an individual level allows the human element to shine through and achievements of talent to celebrated.

Previous function executives who have been honoured at our awards have been commended for the way they influence policy, advance ESG practices and empower other professionals. We will also be celebrating emerging talent with our Future Leader Award on the night.
