Coupa has unveiled an AI agent orchestration platform at its Las Vegas conference, introducing tools to automate procurement and supply chain workflows

Coupa has introduced a suite of products at its Inspire 2026 conference in Las Vegas that could reshape how organisations manage supply chain operations.

The spend management platform provider announced Coupa Compose, an environment designed to build and orchestrate AI agents across procurement, finance and supply chain functions.

The announcement took place at the Aria Resort. Coupa also revealed outcome-based pricing and AI transformation services that uses forward deployed engineers and solution architects to support implementation.

The pricing model aligns costs with measurable business results, allowing organisations to tie investment directly to performance metrics.

AI agents for supply chain

Leagh Turner, CEO at Coupa, says the company's approach differs from competitors.

"While others are bolting AI onto ageing systems, we have one platform that scales, with governance, for your data, your workflows and your agents," she says.

According to Leagh, the architecture is built on a foundation of US$10tn in spend data.

"We are helping our customers build a digital workforce where AI works for people to orchestrate and execute at unprecedented scale, with trust," she says.

Leagh added that the company aims to reshape the workforce of the future using agentic AI. The platform could allow supply chain teams to automate processes that previously required manual intervention. This includes tasks such as supplier onboarding, contract analysis and purchase order management, which traditionally consume significant staff time and resources.

Building and orchestrating agents

Coupa Compose provides three components for organisations managing supply chain workflows. Navi Agent Studio will be made generally available in May and uses a no-code interface to build custom agents.

The platform includes smart intake and orchestration that processes requests and coordinates agents and systems. Human intervention remains available where required. This hybrid approach ensures critical decisions receive appropriate oversight while routine tasks proceed autonomously.

Navi Connect functions as the integration layer for third party agents and systems. The tool enables agent-to-agent communication and allows actions such as real-time ERP updates across enterprise systems.

According to Salvatore Lombardo, Coupa Chief Product and Technology Officer, the system requires no migrations or new code.

"With Coupa Compose, we are empowering our customers to easily build, deploy, orchestrate and connect agentic AI through our core platform," he says.

Salvatore states that the approach uses proprietary data to generate business outcomes. The platform could reduce the time needed to activate AI agents in supply chain operations.

Domain agents and efficiency

Coupa has deployed more than 20 specialised agents across its platform. The May product release includes agents for sourcing event creation, bid comparison, risk sentinel, sanctions risk, autonomous opportunity analysis and scenario ranking.

According to Coupa, these agents automate workflows to deliver measurable results. The company states the agents provide a 40% reduction in set-up time and can identify millions in hidden efficiencies.

The agents draw on aggregated intelligence from Coupa's community data. Supply chain teams could use these tools to monitor risks and compare supplier bids without manual analysis. The community data represents patterns and insights from thousands of organisations, providing benchmarks for procurement decisions.

The risk sentinel and sanctions risk agents could help organisations navigate compliance requirements. The scenario ranking agent could support supply chain planning decisions by analysing multiple options.

Transformation services for deployment

Coupa introduced Coupa Catalyst AI transformation services to address implementation challenges. The offering provides forward-deployed engineers and business solution architects who work with customers to deploy the technology.

Catalyst is designed to accelerate the change management required to operate a workforce combining agents and humans. The service aims to bridge the gap between product capability and value delivery.

"Coupa Compose, together with our Catalyst AI workshops and transformation strategies, is a revelatory way to help all our customers accelerate strong business outcomes with agentic AI," Salvatore says.

He states that the combination of the AI-native platform, domain specific language models with Rossum and partnerships could help customers realise business outcomes in their AI journeys.

The services could support organisations in optimising process efficiency and productivity. Supply chain teams using the platform may require support to integrate the agents into existing workflows and train staff on the new systems.
