Accenture: The Physical AI Orchestrator Boosting Efficiency

Accenture has launched a new solution, Physical AI Orchestrator, dedicated to helping manufacturers reinvent warehouses and factory operations.
It is a cloud-based solution, combining a range of technologies and AI agents for maximum efficiency.
Through a range of capabilities, companies can see major cost savings and increased efficiency within their supply chains.
The solution
Accenture's new solution, Physical AI Orchestrator, combines NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Metropolis and Accenture's own AI agents from its AI Refinery platform. Its aim is to pave the way so that factories and warehouses can become 'software-defined', building new ones with this approach and transforming pre-existing ones.
The solution relies on digital twins which mirror the plant in order to detect issues within operations. Once detected, they simulate the impact of changes in real time, helping business leaders track potential issues and also monitor potential solutions.
The AI agents can then transform the insights from the virtually tested solutions, into precise instructions. This then allows the physical plant to to implement these new solutions in order to adapt to new demands.
The digital twins can cover everything, from conveyors to factory floor layouts.
Client success stories
Physical AI Orchestrator has already provided strong results.
Belden, a network and data sciences provider, created a virtual safety fence solution which helps robots and workers work together safely. The solution uses AI to automatically shut down or reroute a robot's operations if a human enters its workspace, ensuring the employee does not get injured.
Physical AI Orchestrator has been used by a life sciences company to simulate preservation cycles of biologics and vaccines. This helps increase product shelf life and reduce batch variability.
A consumer goods manufacturer built a digital twin of its warehouse operations in order to improve operational efficiency and throughput, after using Physical AI Orchestrator. After following its solution of layout adjustment and resource allocation, the company has seen a significant improvement.
The manufacturer saw a 20% throughput improvement and saved 15% in capital expenditure by using the platform.
“Physical AI Orchestrator acts as a brain for a physical space,” says Prasad Satyavolu, Americas Lead of Accenture’s Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Service, Industry X.
“Powered by NVIDIA Omniverse technologies and Accenture AI Refinery, it is designed to enable software-defined factories and to make agentic AI and physical AI part of the fabric of manufacturing.
"We are already seeing it provide quick and lasting benefits to our clients across the globe. This is particularly relevant to companies in the US, where manufacturing reinvention is a prerequisite for reindustrialisation.”
With the volatility throughout 2025, markets have seen significant turbulence. Now, businesses are figuring out ways to build supply chain resilience without disruptions to their ongoing operations.
Using solutions with digital twins, like the Physical AI Orchestrator, companies can trial-run transformation methods without risk, with the certainty that these platforms are presenting the most accurate and successful strategies.
Project capabilities
Early adopters have already seen cost savings and higher accuracy throughout their operations. Meanwhile, Physical AI Orchestrator has a range of capabilities:
- AI agents - these agents are designed to help engineers rather than replace them, aiding with the design by simulating new solutions (like new production lines) using data from past projects.
- Reality capture - the platform generates digital twins of both equipment and factories. They then turn scans into 3D models which use real-time tracking to detect changes and keep the twin updated so there are no delays or issues.
- Vision analytics - there is a constant monitoring and tracking of live data (such as worker and material movements) which helps ensure each simulation is precise and up to date.
- XR extensions - training and collaboration can take place by introducing the digital twins to high-quality augmented environments.
- Asset connectors - rather than needing to get new equipment, the platform uses a 'plug and play' method which allows the integration of existing equipment into the simulation.
Through Physical AI Orchestrator, Accenture could become a major player in supply chain transformation, enabling businesses worldwide to trail a range of solutions and ultimately prevent risk in an era of disruption.
