Vinted Go Partners with Bloq.it to Boost Parcel Delivery

Bloq.it and Vinted Go are extending their smart locker network to Spain and Portugal, building on the groundwork already laid in France.
It’s a development that deepens Bloq.it’s role as the smart locker hardware and software provider for Vinted Go, the logistics arm of the online marketplace Vinted.
This next step also comes after Vinted Go's locker activation in the Netherlands and forms part of a broader strategy to build a pan-European smart delivery system.
Founded in Lisbon in 2019, Bloq.it delivers smart locker services that span hardware, its own software ecosystem Bloq.OS and full operational support.
It supplies solutions for ecommerce, logistics and retail brands. Its partners include global delivery firms DHL eCommerce and GLS, alongside Vinted Go. The company frames its mission around making smart lockers a part of daily life, focusing on usability, security and flexibility.
The move into Iberia is not a small side project. Bloq.it commits €2.5m (US$2.8m) to Spain and Portugal over the next three years. That includes investment in local teams, new sites and production capacity, plus hiring for multiple new roles.
Madrid will be the first city to go live in mid-May, followed by Lisbon later in the year.
Bloq.it already works with Vinted Go in France, where it has installed more than 5,000 smart lockers across the country. This new expansion builds on that relationship.
Miha Jagodic, Chief Executive of Bloq.it, says returning home to Portugal for this next stage makes the partnership all the more meaningful: "As a company founded and headquartered in Portugal, it’s particularly meaningful for us to support Vinted Go’s Iberia launch.
"We’re proud to bring our technology home and give users throughout these countries access to a smarter and more convenient way of sending and receiving parcels."
Lockers on the rise and off the grid
Smart locker delivery is on a steep growth curve. Across Europe, over 19bn parcels were delivered outside the home (known as out-of-home or OOH) last year. Analysts forecast that number will rise to 30 billion by 2028–2029. This growth comes from a demand for more flexible, secure delivery that doesn't require waiting at home or queueing at a counter. It’s a shift in consumer habits that is reshaping the delivery market.
Bloq.it’s lockers are built for this demand. They offer services like on-site label printing and secure, traceable drop-offs, backed by real-time system monitoring.
Importantly, the lockers are designed to work in any location, with software that allows for courier-neutral delivery, meaning any provider can use the lockers and hardware that doesn't need a fixed power source. That includes NEXT, an autonomous locker Bloq.it launched in 2024, capable of functioning in off-grid spots.
Bloq.it’s infrastructure helps reduce the environmental impact of delivery by enabling consolidated drops and cutting the need for last-mile driving. Its tech is intended to be easy to deploy across a range of environments, whether urban or suburban.
In 2024, Bloq.it also posted strong growth figures, reporting a 100% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 290% expansion in its smart locker footprint, adding more than 5,000 new units.
Targeting a wider reach with sustainable options
Vinted Go, which handles deliveries for users of the second-hand fashion platform Vinted, is pushing to provide cheap, convenient delivery while also aiming to cut carbon emissions. The locker network gives its members another option for sending and receiving parcels without relying on traditional home delivery.
Vytautas Atkocaitis, Vice President of Vinted Go, frames this move into Iberia as the latest step in a growing European network: "We see vast potential for growth throughout Spain and Portugal.
"Our aim is to provide the most cost-efficient and convenient shipping solutions, making it easier for our members to trade second-hand items across Europe. This launch marks an exciting step in our journey and we look forward to kicking off some new partnerships that will help us reach even more people and places."
Bloq.it is a key piece of that puzzle. Its software-first and courier-agnostic design means Vinted Go can expand quickly while keeping delivery flexible and cost-effective.
As parcel volumes grow and customer expectations shift, smart locker networks are becoming essential infrastructure for ecommerce and logistics providers aiming to meet demand without adding pressure on cities or the environment.
With this latest expansion, both companies are signalling confidence in the model they’ve built in France and the Netherlands.
