ISS appointment strengthens global Liner expertise
Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world’s leading maritime services provider, has announced the appointment of Chris Crookall as Vice President, Liner. Chris will be based in the company’s Liner Division in Dubai and will report to Eddie Filus, SVP Liner.
A graduate of Newcastle University in England, Chris comes with over 15 years’ experience in Liner Shipping starting as a trainee with P&O Nedlloyd before transferring to Maersk Line when they purchased PONL in 2006. With overseas assignments in The Netherlands, Brazil, Chile, USA, Denmark, Mozambique and South Africa he has extensive worldwide experience.
Chris’ appointment signals ISS’ confidence in the improving the global Liner market. Whether it is to support an existing client, develop their business in a new location or to expand its own geographical presence in new growth regions, ISS has a strong track record in seeking out new developments throughout the sector.
SVP Eddie Filus said: “2014 has started well for ISS’ Liner division with a number of key expansion projects in the pipeline which will grow our Liner business in strategically targeted locations.
“Chris’ addition to the team will enable ISS to explore and fast-track these opportunities.”
