Union Pacific Railroad, one of America’s most recognised companies, has been presented with the ‘Club Elite’ award by Hyundai Glovis.

Hyundai Glovis specialises in ocean transportation logistics, cargo, and packaging services; it is also a key logistical supplier for the American arms of Kia and Hyundai Motors.

Recipients of the prestigious award are selected based on a range of factors which include transit performance, damage prevention and customer service metrics; being officially recognised designates Union Pacific as a top transportation service provider.

The Automotive arm of the company provides transportation and logistics solutions, as well as shipping for automotive parts, finished and aftermarket vehicles. It directly serves the West Coast of America and Gulf of Mexico; it has operation control of or access to over 40 vehicle distribution centres representing all major automotive manufacturers.

Union Pacific Railroad, the principal operating company of the Union Pacific Corporation, connects 23 western American states, providing a critical link in national and global supply chains.

Over the past decade, Union Pacific has invested more than $31 billion in its network and operations in support of America's transportation infrastructure. The railroad has a diversified collection of business interests which includes agricultural and industrial products, automotive, chemicals and coal.

Automotive Vice President, Linda Brandl said: "Union Pacific is thrilled to receive this recognition; fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, we are committed to providing our valued customers with exceptional logistics solutions and service."

Union Pacific serves many of the fastest growing US population centres, operating in all major West and Gulf Coast ports as well as eastern gateways and Canada; it is the only railroad serving all six major Mexican gateways.

This award for Union Pacific Railroad has come as no surprise for many who already recognise the absolutely vital work this provider carries out on a daily basis.
