Mobile port machinery producer and distributor Sany Germany has recently promoted its reach stackers, empty container handlers and heavy duty forklifts at the TOC Europe 2014 event in London.

The company from Bedburg, Germany, expects that especially their new generation of G-class Reach Stackers with models ranging from a capacity of 31t to 39t in the second row will have an impact on the port and terminal operating industry.

The innovative machines contain a powerful Volvo Tier 4f engine, and were introduced to the market in May at CeMat in Hannover. These Reach Stackers offer a better power utilisation while noticeably reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

Paolo Dazi, General Manager Distribution at SANY Germany, said: “We are pleased with the very positive feedback we received since introducing our new Reach Stackers to the market.

“Due to the reduced average fuel consumption as well as the longer service intervals, operators of our Reach Stackers profit from drastically lower overall product lifecycle costs”

The organisation believes equipping the new generation of Reach Stackers with low-emission Tier IVf engines and AdBlue technology shows its commitment to innovation, continuous development and sustainability.

With its 18 LED-lights in addition to the functional lights, the SANY G-class Reach Stacker is the brightest in its class providing a clear view even in reduced visibility environment conditions. Several options are available to support easy maintenance and increase safety while operating the machines such as a 360° Surround View System and an external service display.

Dazi concluded: “With the new generation of Reach Stackers we aim to make the drivers feel safe and comfortable while they work, so they can do their job as efficiently as possible”
