The October edition of Supply Chain Digital magazine is live and awaiting your perusal, just click in the box on the top left hand corner of this page.

This month, man-made machine marvels sit alongside sober advice in a varied edition of Supply Chain Digital.

There are few more marvelous examples of hand-held technology than the fit-for-purpose rugged mobile computers at use in the world of logistics. In this issue we have an in-depth look at the role these play, proving they are more than just barcode scanners.

Following this, we have simple yet potent advice on what companies can do to further reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs, turning attention towards their warehouses and learning to do more than just turning off the light and shutting the door.

Elsewhere, we are joined by an industry expert who takes us through the evolution of supply chain management practices as he sees it and to round it all off we have a break from the norm, as project management solutions provider PM Solutions offers up two straight-talking case studies on how they solved two companies’ vendor management issues.

Happy reading.
