Etihad Cargo, the freight division of Etihad Airways and the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), continues to receive recognition from across the global cargo industry as it celebrates being recognised as the ‘Best Cargo Airline - Middle East’, by Air Cargo News publication.

The award was presented to David Kerr, Vice President Etihad Cargo, at the 32nd prestigious annual awards ceremony held by the publication in London on Saturday, 25 April 2015.

Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, said: “We are delighted to receive this award as it recognises our proactive approach to putting our customers first, ensuring we listen to their needs to provide them with innovative products and exceptional levels of customer service.

“This award is based on votes received from across the global cargo industry, and to win this against some tough, long-established competition in the region is especially pleasing.

“As a global cargo operator, we look forward to working ever closer with our customers in the years ahead and always being on hand as a trusted partner to drive value for their businesses.”

This follows hot on the heels of other industry award wins this year, including ‘Cargo Operator of the Year’ at ITP Publishing Group’s annual Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATAs), and ‘Cargo Airline of the Year’ at the annual Air Transport News awards.

From its hub in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Cargo’s fleet of 10 freighter aircraft operates scheduled services to 38 destinations on its passenger network, and 14 regular freighter-only services to key destinations around the world including Bogota, Chittagong, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Dubai World Central, Eldoret, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Houston, Kabul, Miami, Sharjah and Tbilisi.
