EasyJet has been appointed by DHL to take over its ground handling operations at London Gatwick Airport.

DHL will handle over nine million departing easyJet passengers per year starting from 1st November 2017, taking over from Menzies Aviation.

Chris Browne, Chief Operating Officer, easyJet, commented: “EasyJet is looking forward to developing a new partnership with DHL building on their global expertise in logistics and service.

“The focus of all three companies will be to achieve a seamless transition over the coming months providing high quality services to easyJet's passengers at Gatwick while enabling affected staff to move to DHL."

Menzies will remain a partner for EasyJet and will continue to provide ground handling service in seven countries throughout its network, remaining its biggest handling partner managing 11mn departing passengers per year.
