Pasi Haikola

Pasi Haikola serves as the Director of Sourcing and Procurement at Bluefors, a leading Finnish company specialising in ultra-low temperature cryogenic systems. 

With a career spanning over two decades, Pasi has amassed extensive experience in sourcing, procurement and supply chain management across various high-tech industries.

Pasi's academic foundation is rooted in mechanical design, having earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Oulu between 1988 and 1995. This technical background has been instrumental in his ability to navigate the complexities of global supply chains and procurement strategies within technology companies.

Throughout his career Pasi has held pivotal roles in several prominent organisations. 

At Nokia and Nokia Networks, his career grew from R&D roles to building and managing global sourcing teams, coordinating supplier management and ensuring quality and availability targets were met. 

His tenure at VTI Technologies and Elcoteq further honed his skills across different regions, demonstrating his adeptness at managing complex sourcing projects and navigating international markets.

At Sandvik Mining and Construction, Pasi's leadership in procurement contributed to the company's operational efficiency and strategic sourcing initiatives. 

His role at Suunto/Amer Sports involved overseeing supply chain operations, where he ensured the seamless integration of procurement processes with the company's overall business strategy. His Board experience at Ainone and operational role at L7 Drive - both startup companies - further diversified his expertise, allowing him to adapt to the unique challenges presented by different sectors within the technology industry.

Since joining Bluefors, Pasi has been instrumental in enhancing the company's procurement and sourcing strategies, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their supply chain. His leadership has been pivotal in supporting Bluefors' rapid growth and its commitment to delivering high-quality cryogenic systems to a global market. 

His ability to build and manage global sourcing teams, coordinate supplier management and ensure quality and availability targets are met has been crucial in maintaining Bluefors' reputation as a trusted partner in the scientific and industrial communities.
