Ata Elyas, Head of Procurement at SAB
Ata has over 20 years of experience in procurement and business development across multiple industries. Having worked for some of the world’s biggest companies including SABIC, PetroRabigh, Siemens and Mobily, Ata has helped to streamline their procurement processes and build a resilient supply chain strategy.
Currently, Ata leads the procurement department at Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB), a partner of the HSBC Group. SAB is one of the largest banks in the Kingdom and traces of its origins in Saudi Arabia go back more than 90 years.
Ata is responsible for creating and implementing procurement strategy in collaboration with the stakeholders to deliver the bank and country’s vision and strategy.

Dr. Ahmed Sedky, Senior Vice President ‑ Procurement at Al Ghurair
Dr. Ahmed Sedky is a well-rounded Senior Vice President of Procurement at Al Ghurair Investment and a Doctor of Business. Dr. Ahmed has over 25 years of experience across multicultural Groups in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States, the UK and Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed’s experience includes construction, real estate, engineering, facility management, manufacturing, energy, commodities, raw materials, heavy machinery, healthcare, technology systems, retail and malls and petrochemicals.
Dr. Ahmed is a transformational leader skilled in building and uplifting team capabilities and skills. As an expert in setting strategies and engineering processes, he has successfully transformed and uplifted the maturity levels of the procurement and supply chain functions across multiple organisations as well as driving optimisation and digitisation while revolutionising operational processes.
All three speakers will be taking part in the Procurement & Supply Chain Strategies panel. The panel will explore cutting-edge strategies, focusing on how organisations can adapt to a rapidly changing global environment.
