One of the leading transportation and logistics service providers has selected a cloud-based platform to foster greater visibility and efficiency throughout its supply chain and logistics offering.

Schneider, a premier provider of transportation and logistics services with a turnover of $4.4bn, has selected the project44 Advanced Visibility Platform to deliver end-to-end visibility on freight shipments and implement automation throughout a variety of its shipping services.

With project44, Schneider will look to provide its customers with real-time, seamless access to shipping information to provide unrivalled customer experience.

Project44 will be the company’s “primary API integrator” and will accelerate its digital transformation as Schneider looks to connect its supply chain ecosystem and address the challenges of electronic data interchange (EDI).

Exclusive: How Schneider has delivered unrivalled transportation and logistics services for more than 80 years

“Schneider has been a leader in freight innovation for more than 80 years,” said Erin Van Zeeland, senior vice president and general manager of Schneider Logistics Services. “Every investment we make is focused on relieving specific pains faced by shippers and carriers. By working with project44, we are able to bridge the supply chain visibility gap with a data infrastructure that also helps us and our shippers optimize transportation operations. Additionally, as a strategic 3PL, it’s not lost on us that making easy adoption of this platform by carriers is crucial, another project44 advantage.”

Schneider will also leverage more than 550+ global Electric Logging Device (ELD) and telematics data partnerships and integrations with major transportation management systems (TMS) within project44’s portfolio.

“We are proud to extend our relationship with Schneider as they continue to lead the pack in using digital technologies to increase efficiency and improve shipping performance,” said Tommy Barnes, president of project44. “We share their view that transportation and logistics can no longer be viewed as a cost centre, but is crucial to improving customer experiences. With this platform, Schneider is not just reducing costs and improving its operations, but also elevating transportation and logistics to be a competitive advantage.”
