Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimisation, has announced the appointment of John Sookias as Vice President for Supply Chain Solutions.
Sookias brings over 25 years’ experience of working in the supply chain software industry to the role. He will be responsible for driving product innovation, sales and delivery at Quintiq.
Prior to his appointment, he held a number of C-level and managerial positions at leading software companies where he was part of the executive management team. Sookias’ experience includes supporting acquisitions and mergers for supply chain companies. He is based at Quintiq’s London office and will have global remit.
Sookias said: “Quintiq is a company I have been watching for a number of years and I am very excited to join the team. An area I would like to pay particular attention to is how Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud technology can strengthen Quintiq’s supply chain planning offering.
“Supply chain planning is no longer simply about matching demand and supply volumes. There’s an increasing need to integrate supply chain planning with other areas of the business. Through better collaboration and technologies, companies can make more profitable supply chain decisions that complement product innovation, financial plans and growth strategies.”
Arjen Heeres, COO of Quintiq said: “John brings to the Quintiq team over two decades of experience. His addition to our solutions team will enable us to deliver new innovations to our customers and strengthen our global footprint.”
In addition, John will represent Quintiq at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference in London on September 10-11. John will join the Gartner Premier Panel event to expound on “The technological advances that will catapult supply chains into the next decade”.
