Blue Yonder’s Vision for a Truly End-to-End Supply Chain
Blue Yonder is widely respected as a global leader in digital supply chain transformation.
Hundreds of big-name retailers, manufacturers and logistics service providers based across the globe trust Blue Yonder to optimise and streamline their supply chains end to end – from planning and fulfilment right the way through to delivery and returns.
Powered by AI, the company’s supply chain platform and multi-enterprise, multi-tier network enable precise forecasting and flexible management of capacity, inventory and transportation.
Ultimately, Blue Yonder empowers businesses to navigate modern-day complexities and uncertainties with more resilient, sustainable operations – enhancing customer satisfaction, boosting profitability and guaranteeing seamless performance.
One Network acquisition
Blue Yonder continues to solidify its position as an industry leader.
Its recent acquisition of One Network Enterprises – worth US$839m – marked another significant step in its strategy to offer more robust, real-time supply chain solutions.
Amid increasing volatility and disruptions across the global supply chain, it’s no longer sufficient for companies to rely on periodic updates about their inventory, capacity and resources.
With the addition of One Network’s commercial technology, Blue Yonder customers can now collaborate in real time with trading partners upstream and downstream across all tiers of their supply chain.
Customers stand to gain insights into inventory levels, the movement of raw and finished goods and other critical supply chain activities.
“One Network’s industry-leading commercial technology will seamlessly be integrated into the Blue Yonder Platform,” said Blue Yonder’s CEO, Duncan Angove, after the acquisition was confirmed. "Their supply chain network and intelligent control tower deliver superpowered insights to businesses looking to fortify their supply chains.
““Our customers can boost visibility, agility and speed thanks to a single source of truth provided by the Blue Yonder Platform and the digital network, all enhanced by our AI assistants, solvers and predictions. This allows customers to see issues both downstream and upstream in real time, so they can avoid disruptions and make better decisions.
"From One Network’s capabilities to its forward-looking mission, the company perfectly embodies Blue Yonder’s vision to transform the supply chain.”
Transforming retail planning
A rising proportion of logistics leaders are turning to AI and machine learning (ML) to help automate routine, manual tasks – enhancing efficiency in the process.
Blue Yonder recently announced an ML-integrated, vision-based yard analysis tool that automates and centralises yard management for increased throughput and decreased costs.
Through the offering, the company has strengthened its enterprise supply chain platform and industry-specific offerings, empowering leaders to meet critical business objectives.
What’s more, Blue Yonder’s Robotics Hub now enables high-volume automated processes using cutting-edge Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) technologies to minimise latency and facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
"These new innovations directly support our customers as they digitally transform their supply chains to take advantage of AI and ML and the latest advancements in robotics," explains Duncan.
“Our Blue Yonder Platform connects the breadth of our solutions – across planning, execution, labour, e-commerce and delivery.
“By supporting simple extensibility for our customers to extend and configure their solutions as needed, the Blue Yonder Platform allows them to increase speed and agility, make data-driven decisions and pivot around disruptions.
“The platform offers composability, allowing customers to add on new functionalities as they need them with a faster time to value.”

Meanwhile, Bayer Crop Science called on Blue Yonder to improve the holy trinity of operational efficiency, asset utilisation and customer service.
Bayer’s initial focus was on optimising its transportation and logistics operations across 50 facilities in more than 70 countries, which had been relying on different tools, outdated legacy systems, and manual processes to manage a highly-complex logistics network.
Blue Yonder is assisting Bayer in ensuring all its employees follow uniform transportation practices and business rules, while effectively supporting the company's expansion.
