Amazon has launched Amazon Pickup Points, a new delivery option where customers can choose to pick up Amazon.ca orders from Canada Post retail locations across the country. With more than 6,200 Canada Post locations, customers can find an Amazon Pickup Point that is convenient for them.

Alexandre Gagnon, Country Manager for Amazon Canada, said: "We're continuously working to introduce new programs and shipping options that make our customers' lives easier. We know the holidays get busy, so we're excited to introduce Amazon Pickup Points which give customers who are always on the go a convenient and secure alternative to receive Amazon.ca packages.

With the holiday season in full swing, shoppers can choose to have their orders shipped to a Canada Post location, ensuring gifts remain a surprise until they are unwrapped. With Amazon Pickup Points, shoppers also don't have to worry about missing an important delivery – whether it's a child's most wished for holiday toy or a package that may need a signature for delivery.

Deepak Chopra, President and CEO at Canada Post, said: "Canadians want delivery options that suit their busy lifestyles. By providing access to our 6,200 locations across the country, Amazon.ca is adding unparalleled convenience for its customers."

Customers can still take advantage of a variety of shipping options including Free Super Saver Shipping and Free Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime on eligible orders when shipping to an Amazon Pickup Point.

During the checkout process, customers simply select an Amazon Pickup Point location as their shipping address, receive a delivery confirmation e-mail when the order is delivered, and collect their package at their convenience.
